Kelly Clarkson talks about her new album

Kelly Clarkson talked about her upcoming album release to Billboard and said that the album is “all over the place” between country, pop and acoustic.

According to the ProphetBlog:

“We have several songs already penned for the next album. I actually just was e-mailing a couple of writers and producers that I’m working with for the next album, and they’re everywhere, there’s everything from beats to more singer-songwriter country stuff to major pop stuff so it’s all over the place right now. I have no idea what it’s going to sound like.”

I don’t like the idea of having her go in the direction of country, because I really like her music. That would distance me from her. What say you?

    I’m happy as long as she doesn’t go to the bluesy-route like certain songs on her first album. But even if she does that then I’ll enjoy it. Kelly is my addiction, I’m obsessed. I love to hear everything she can dish out, if she wants it out and loves the songs then I’ll be blasting it up at 3 AM.

    I don’t mind Kelly going in a country direction as long as it’s not pop country – that genre sucks!

    Kelly has a great voice and can pretty much sing anything. I think I’d probably like anything she put out after seeing her in concert recently – she kicks some serious butt!

    You can actually hear some of those songs that might make it on to the next album on youtube. Songs like Poison Candy and Hand Me Downs, the have a sort of souther acoustic sound, with a hint of country. Listen to them, they are great
