Stephen Moyer’s True Blood jealousy

Stephen Moyer, who plays Civil War era vampire Bill Compton on HBO’s True Blood, has revealed that he gets jealous over Anna Paquin’s on-set love talk.

Anna, who plays Sookie Stackhouse on the hit show, has some love scenes to film with co-star, Alexander Skarsgard, who plays Eric Northman.

He says that he finds it difficult to watch her spoken intimate scenes with Alexander’s character, as opposed to their raunchy sex scenes.

He said, “It could be a spoken scene, which is far more intimate than a physical love-making scene, and that’s sometimes tough to watch – just as it is for me to watch Anna do it with anybody else. But there’s an understanding that we are doing our job. We both get to read the script, so we get to talk about it before we attack those scenes.”

He also reveals that he’s happy to be able to think about the scenes through the perspective of an actor. He adds, “I think it must be incredibly difficult for couples where one partner isn’t an actor. They really don’t get you looking in someone else’s eyes and saying, ‘I love you’, or having sex or, even worse, being incredibly intimate.”

    I love Bill’s character..I know there are a lot that don’t, but I love him…he is a flawed, tragic hero, but I think he will redeem himself

    I detest Bill’s “Character”, but wish Stephen and Anna all the luck in Hollywood. It’s not going to be easy, especially when the fans think that their TB characters cross over into real life.
    Anna & Stephen are a “real life couple” not Sookie and Bill. Sheesh.
    I can hear the fans now ” Awww Ana and Stephen are so in love, Alan Ball will never break them up”
    Dump Bill, get with the Viking, and leave your real lives out of it. Or the fans may begin to detest you in real life and not just the show.

    Eric character is so great and seductive, and Alex is so a tremendous actor. Is understandable Bill/Moyer jealousy towards the scenes.

    I hope the controversy Alan Ball likes to create in the Eric/Sookie/Bill relationship doesn’t affect how people looks into Moyer/Paquin relationship in real life.

    After listening to some of Moyer’s comments off set about Beeyul & Eric, I’m starting to dislike him in RL as well. He doesnt get the essence of either character and he’s quite unprofessional in his comments to the media. Real life nookie makes for poor Sookie nookie. It’s falling flat.
    Anna & Stephen are a RL couple. Beeyul and Sookeh are not. Stay together in real life but PUHLEEESE Sookie, dump his azz on TB.

    I hope the True Blood fans are smart enough (they are!) to keep the real life seperate from the fantasy life. I like Bill and Sookie and I like Steve and Anna – but one exists and one does not.
    Even as a Bill fan I can see some of the Bill shippers insisting Sookie stay with Bill because they are a real life couple. Damn ladies, it’s a show. Wish them luck in real life and whatever happens on True Blood happens, but it in no way affects their love in real life. I just pray they aren’t type cast in the future, because True Blood is NOT going to last forever ;)

    The best character in true blood is eric northman and not just cuz he’s super hot and sexy but becuz he character has evolve in the show not like the rest where they stay mainly the same as the series goes by. If u see eric’s character now and see a scene of eric’s character from the first season u would see the change. Hes a great actor

    The most exciting and complex character is Eric. A millenia of undead life. Such a fascinating character and Alex is a wonderfully expressive actor who brings Eric to “Life”
    I am anxiously waiting for his story, and his love for Sookie to be brought forth on the show.
    Anna and Steve can have each other in real life, but in fantasy the Viking gets the girl.

    Of course he is jealous, just one look at Alexnader Skarsgard says it all.
    However it’s very unprofesional on Stephen Moyer’s part to state this publicly, now that he has married Anna Paquin in real life.
    Marriage is about trust, and he need’s to show her some trust and respect.

    I adore Bill, have since the very first time he looked at us through the tv with his gorgeous eyes. I think Bill is sexilicious! He is a real man and lover. I can never get enough of him.
    The chemistry between Stephen and Anna is infectious on screen and obviously translates just as well off screeen.

    Congratulations to this beautiful couple on their recent nuptuals!
    Couldnt be happier for them.

    It amazes me how so many people assume that Stephen and Anna’s real life will spill into the show and affect Bill and Sookie’s storylines. He was answering a question during an interview. Stephen said that a twinge of jealousy is normal and they have delt with that issue. Now its just something they do like paying the power bill.

    The chemistry Alex and Anna have on screen is a true testament to their acting skills.
    The dream sequences in season 2 were far HOTTER than the B/S sex scenes.
    I think the old addage that real life sex, makes for boring on screen sex is so true.
    I’m so over Bill and Sookie – it feels like I am watching their homemade porno tapes of them at home. ICK
    Anna isnt the always the best actress but luckily for her Alex brings it to every scene.

      I couldn’t agree more. If they kill of Eric, I’m not watching the show anymore. Well, maybe I would for a minute for Jason Stackhouse, but that’d be it.

    I love this show, and cannot choose a favorite as I love both Bill and Eric. I am ALL for Sookie to have an affair with Eric but why dump Bill? She should get to “LOVE” them all, including gorgeous Alcide as well. What good is to be a fairy if you cannot have your own fairytale ending!
