On April 30th, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe into their lives. The happy couple were shocked to find that someone alerted Child Protective Services on them with allegations that they were drinking alcohol in the delivery room.

In a new interview with Piers Morgan, Nick talked about the accusations. He said, “Recently, the Child Protective Services were called with allegations that there was some drinking and drugs and all that going on, while in the hospital, which makes no sense to me – how would a hospital allow that?”

We couldn’t agree more. While most people celebrate the births of friends and family by passing out cigars, it appears that the new parents received some really strange advice.

He continued, “It all started when a nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink Guinness, the dark beer, the yeast improves breastfeeding. I don’t know if someone heard that, but then they were saying my wife was drinking beer. People will do anything to try to conjure up a story.”

He went on to reveal, “I spoke to the person from the Child Protective Services, I was like, ‘This is ridiculous. We’re going to make sure that this isn’t a case.’ To even have to deal with that, my wife in the state that she’s in, we’re in the hospital, to even have to think about someone possibly wanting to investigate your children. It’s sad at the end of the day.”

Wow, that’s just crazy. I’m glad that they’ve gotten that all sorted out!

Lady Gaga has broken things off with her former boyfriend, Luc Carl, according to reports.

In an interview on The Graham Norton Show that airs later today, Gaga said, “No, I don’t have a boyfriend and haven’t been on any dates recently.”

The couple had dated back ni 2005, but went their separate ways once Gaga reached fame. In 2010, they got back together and he globetrotted with her during her Monster Ball concerts.

Perhaps she broke up with him on May 9th when she wrote this tweet, “‘I need a man who thinks it right when it’s so wrong, right on the limits where we know we both belong’. 2.5 hours until glory.”

It has to be said: Maybe it was just a Bad Romance? We may never know!

Now that Lindsay Lohan has steered herself clear of any jail time, she’s got a long way to go to rehab her image, but she’s taking baby steps.

Now that Lindsay’s probation report basically confirmed that she is a drug addict and/or alcoholic, she’s got her work cut out for her. She has now hired Hollywood publicist Steve Honig of The Honig Company, who is also the publicist for Fiore Films. Coincidentally, (or not?) Fiore Films is the production company in charge of Gotti: Three Generations, a movie that she has a role in.

Lindsay hasn’t had a publicist since Leslie Sloane a few years back, but now that she’s on probation for three years, she really has to watch her step.

In a statement, Lindsay said, “I am glad to be able to put this past behind me and move on with my life and my career. I support the judge’s decision and hold myself accountable for being in this situation. I have already started my community service at the Downtown Women’s Center and thank everyone there for their warm welcome. I hope to be able to fulfill my obligation without any press attention. I think the media spotlight should be on issues such as homelessness and domestic violence instead of on me.”

Let’s hope she gets her act together! Can she do it???

It looks like someone over at CBS had the bright idea to hire Michael Kelso Ashton Kutcher has been tapped to replace Charlie Sheen on Two And A Half Men.

A lot of names have made the rounds for the character’s replacement on the show, including Rob Lowe, Jeremy Piven, John Stamos and as of yesterday, Hugh Grant. Sources have confirmed to Earsucker.com that Ashton is negotiating his “huge payday”. The Hollywood Reporter dishes:

Two sources close to the deal-making tell The Hollywood Reporter that the actor is putting the final touches on a deal to replace Charlie Sheen as the star of TV’s No. 1 comedy. CBS, studio Warner Bros. and Kutcher’s reps at CAA declined to comment on the situation but a deal is said to be all but signed. The exact dollar figure he will be paid is not known but a source says Kutcher is getting a “huge payday” to join the hit sitcom.

Ashton has yet to confirm the new role, but has taken to his official Twitter account to say, “what’s the square root of 6.25?”

Tears ran down the face of James Durbin as he made his American Idol exit performance of Paul McCartney’s song, Maybe I’m Amazed. Ryan Seacrest announced that Lauren Alania was safe first last night, leaving all of the viewers thinking that Haley Reinhart to be eliminated.

We were under the impression that James would be safe, considering that he has a whole lot of talent. Most of our audience polled came to the conclusion that Haley should’ve left last night due to her attitude. So when she was announced as the second person safe, all bets were off.

Then, as the night progressed, we had to ponder who exactly could be sent home out of the guys. Both James and Scotty McCreery gave pretty excellent performances last night, so we had to think that the rumors of “no one” being eliminated were true.

When it was announced that Scotty McCreery was going to be part of the top three in the singing competition, a collective shock swept across the nation. He performed well and cried during his final song.

American Idol is heating up! We’re down to the top four in the singing competition — and it’s anyone’s guess who’s going to sent home tonight! In case you missed last night’s performances, check out our recap right here!

The competition has been narrowed down to Haley Reinhart, James Durbin, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alania. James really wow’ed the judges last night, with them laying most of the night’s criticism on Haley.

Next week, the Idol hopefuls will be taking camera crews to their hometowns for their Hometown Heroes segment. Will we be left with three contestants? According to our poll, most of our votes say that Haley will be sent home.

Enrique Iglesias and Jordin Sparks are there, along with a performance by Lady Gaga!

James and Scotty are performing Brad Paisley’s song, Start A Band, on the show now. They’re doing a pretty good job, for a country song.

Former Friends star Matthew Perry has decided to go away “for a month to focus on sobriety” in order to be proactive in his fight with substance abuse.

In a statement, he said, “I’m making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recoverys. Please enjoy making fun of me on the world wide web.”

Recovery is never a laughing matter, so we won’t be taking any jabs at him. He has also revealed that he hasn’t suffered any sort of relapse, it’s just that he wants to use this as a proactive measure.

Good for him! We hope that he gets his life together and things work out well for him.

Alas, waiting for the fourth season of True Blood is almost over and we’ve been treated to new promo trailer for the show!

Lady Gaga was the mentor on last night’s episode of American Idol, and prior to her appearance, we told you of her risque choice of footwear. Ryan Seacrest let us in on the tip, saying that Gaga was wearing some “broadcast sensitive” shoes.

Ryan revealed that “Only Gaga can put herself into footwear that is a device of pleasure.”
