After being jilted just five days before their wedding date, we’ve learned that Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner has let his former fiancee, Crystal Harris keep her engagement ring!

And it’s not just any old ring, either. It boasts three carats and cost a whopping $90,000!

According to reports, Crystal returned to the Playboy Mansion on Sunday, after lounging by a pool in Las Vegas with Heidi Montag, so that she could return the ring. Hef apparently didn’t want it and told her to keep it. Not only that, but Hef also let Crystal keep the Bentley he gave her.

About her decision to return the ring, Crystal said, “It was the right thing to do.”

Don’t worry about Hef, though. He knows that the only way to get over one girl is to get under another. He has already taken a liking to Crystal’s best friend, Anna Sophia Berglund. They were seen on movie night, watching Runaway Bride and cozying up to each other. That was fast!

I think Hef missed a bullet, for sure! Good for him for showing true class — something Crystal obviously knows nothing about.

The media circus surrounding Paris Hilton’s life must be too much for Cy Waits, because it’s now being said that the two have broken up!

He had already gone on record to say that he wasn’t a fan of her new reality show, The World According To Paris. Now, we’re hearing that he wasn’t into the whole media spotlight and called it quits!

A friend said, “They are broken up. It’s sad, she cares about him a lot and thinks he’s a great guy but they really hit a rough patch.”

Another pal said, “Cy’s found it difficult to live his life with her in the spotlight and that’s what caused their split. No drama, it’s amicable, but things didn’t work out.”

As testimony is given in the case against Casey Anthony for murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee looms, more and more people are tuning in to their televisions for the latest coverage.

Gruelling testimony has been given in the case, suggesting that Casey chloroformed her daughter and duct taped her mouth shut. Reportedly, a sticker was placed over the duct tape.

Casey’s defense has insisted that Caylee drowned in the family’s swimming pool and that her father helped her to cover up the death. Casey didn’t report the child missing until a month after she’d been gone. However, she was seen partying with friends and making purchases of beer and clothes in the days ahead.

We’ve learned that coverage of the trial has ratings for the channels covering it, soaring. HLN has already boosted ratings by focusing on the trial coverage. The network has seen a 150 percent increase in viewership since the trial began.

In addition, Dr. Drew Pinsky has also started regular coverage and has seen his ratings triple. Dateline started out its coverage by recapping the events, but now is focusing on the events that unfolded the day Caylee passed away. Also jumping aboard is The View, who has dedicated a daily segment to the trial coverage.

In 2009, she underwent ten plastic surgery procedures in one day, but apparently that didn’t stop her hand-to-mouth action, which she says caused her to put on a few pounds.

She said, “I’ve been working out from, like, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. for two months now. I’ve been working out really hard because I had this pool party and I was like, I have to be in shape. And I was actually a lot overweight. It was the most I’ve ever been because I’ve kind of been in hiding eating pie with my husband and puppies, so I needed to get back in shape.”

To lose the extra 27 pounds that she claims she added to her waistline, she’s been busy running and trying to get her metabolism boosted. She said, “I’ve been running a lot, and I’ve been doing weights. When you work out, you boost your metabolism, so you have to.”

Then, she decided to talk about her boobs. She added, “My breasts, because they’re so big, really needed some time. So I’m just starting to work out again after my surgery. Sometimes I get shooting pains, but I hear that’s normal.”

Disney star Selena Gomez has revealed that she’s not a fan of email or Facebook!

Her schedule is pretty hectic and she is away from her friends and family a lot. So she does make it a point to stay in touch with the people who are close to her. But, she said that she’s not going to email or use Facebook any time soon.

She said, “I don’t have a personal Facebook page or anything like that. Honestly! For me, it’s all about texting, chatting and calling – I think those are all good. I don’t like the whole email or Facebook thing. I don’t think those are really that personal. I’d rather call someone directly.”

I can agree with that. Email and Facebook aren’t that personal and it is so much easier just to pick up a phone and call someone. Besides that, in the written word, you don’t get any voice inflection and misunderstandings can happen.

Amy Winehouse performed in Serbia last night, but the crowd booed her comeback performance. She appeared drunk on stage as she slurred the lyrics to songs and just seemed out of it.

Now, Amy is cancelling part of her tour dates because she just can’t hack it, obviously. Her performance last night was called the worst in the history of Belgrade, even though fans paid $57.00 per ticket to see her perform. It doesn’t seem like a whole lot, but the average person living there only makes roughly $428.00 per month.

Now, Amy’s rep has announced today that she will be canceling some of her European tour dates. The rep said that Amy will be canceling her Istanbul concert for Monday, as well as Wednesday’s performance in Athens.

The rep also noted that Amy has realized that she “cannot perform to the best of her ability.”

Of course she can’t. The poor woman needs rehab before it’s really too late. She really needs to just spend more than a month taking care of herself and recovering from her demons. She has a tremendous amount of talent and it would be a shame to waste that because she can’t get her life together.

Even though recent reports suggested that Pippa Middleton broke things off with her boyfriend, Alex Loudon for her ex, George Percy, we’re hearing that just the opposite is true!

Pippa recently hung out at George’s place and attended a wedding without Alex, prompting speculation that she had dumped Alex for George. Even though they’ve been said to have hit a rough patch in their relationship recently, they are still together.

A source said, “Pippa and George are friends, but that is all. Pippa doesn’t fancy George, she’s very into Alex. Alex is the nicest chap you could meet. He’s incredibly sweet, loyal and adores Pippa, but they make a point of seeing each other very privately and don’t go to flash places.”

A newly single Crystal Harris spent her weekend partying in Las Vegas with Heidi Montag, instead of spending Saturday afternoon marrying Playboy mogul, Hugh Hefner.

Apparently, the bunny wasn’t too far off of her mind, as she perused the July issue of the magazine, featuring her with the caption, “Mrs. Crystal Hefner”. She also got a copy of the magazine minus the newly added “Runaway Bride” sticker.

Of course, when Heidi is involved, every little pose becomes a photo shoot. So, obviously Crystal picked the right person to party with to show that she’s totally over Hef.

Still, though, she’s a heartless beast. She was rumored to be planning to leave him at the altar, in front of cameras, for a whopping $500,000.

Of the getaway, Crystal said, “I’m doing okay. I just had to get away. Today is the day and I just had to get away. I’m going back tonight so I just wanted to get away for the day.”

Ugh. At least she broke things off before she married him. Good riddance to bad rubbish, right?
