Casey Anthony Is Not Testifying In Her Murder Trial
by Lydia Harris on June 30, 2011 | 3 Comments

Casey Anthony is accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, but she won’t be taking the stand to testify in her own defense. The defense rested today after presenting evidence to the jury for the past two weeks.
Some in the gallery had hoped that she would take the stand, but she invoked her right to remain silent. Judge Belvin Perry asked her, “Is it your decision not to testify?”
She responded, “Yes sir.”
He then asked, “And have you had ample time to discuss this with your attorney?” To which she responded, “Yes sir.”
The prosecution will now present their rebuttals, which should only run for another day. Afterward, that will be followed by closing arguments and jury deliberations could start this weekend.
Stay tuned as more information about the case is revealed. Are you surprised that Casey isn’t taking the stand to defend herself against the charge of murder? Do you believe that she didn’t kill her daughter? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
