It’s the final time that the top three celebrities will dance for the Mirrorball trophy on Dancing With The Stars!
On last week’s show, we said goodbye to Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff, and now we’re left with Hines Ward and Kym Johnson, Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas. So who’s going to walk away the winner of it all?!???
The show is only an hour tonight, to make way for the season premiere of The Bachelorette. Tonight, the show will feature a judge’s choice and their freestyle dances. Tomorrow night will feature their repeat dances.
Round One: Judge’s Choice:
Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas – The Samba – Score: 29
Comments: Great dance, they’re really shaking it. Fancy footwork and very professionally done. A+
Judge’s Comments: Len said he liked what he was watching. Bruno said she was like an ultra sexy bombshell. He said, “Way to go!” Carrie Ann said, “Hot hot hot! Chelsea is on fire!”
Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy – The Samba – Score:27
Comments: She’s still a little slow and disconnected in the dance. It’s still a decent dance, though a little slow.
Judge’s Comments: Bruno said it was softer, rich and full of lively pleasures. He said she kept looking at the floor. Carrie Ann said she loved what she did and it had an “ooze factor”. Len said it was a different style of Samba, but it was equally appealing. He said she did a lovely job and they are deserving of being in the finals.
Hines Ward & Kym Johnson – The Quickstep – Score: 29
Comments: Lively and a fun dance. Timing and footwork are good. Great dance.
Judge’s Comments: Carrie Ann said it was so much fun and he made it seem like he was going for a touchdown. Len said the best dancer wins a Mirrorball. He said it was a vast improvement, but it’s not quite there yet. Bruno said it was like watching a mega production on Broadway. “Glitz, entertainment and value”, he commented.
Round Two: Freestyle Dances
Chelsea and Mark danced fast and furious. They lit up the dance floor with this number. It was high energy and there was no stopping. Len said it was so much attack that it was fantastic. Bruno said it was electrifying and she was pushed to the limits of their ability. Carrie Ann said she couldn’t find the words, but did a victory dance. Score: 30
Kirstie and Maks opted for something a little slower and sensual. Then, they switched it up a bit. She’s moving her butt! She did a cartwheel and Maks was tossing her around all over the place. Wow. Go Maks. Bruno said he wouldn’t thought of her attempting lifts ten weeks ago. He said she has to appreciate what she’s achieved. Carrie Ann said the dance embodies what she’s become. Len said she took risks and he thought they were great. Score: 27
Hines and Kym are doing a drumline half-time show dance. It’s very well choregraphed and they’re doing a fantastic job. Hines is getting down! Nice. What a great dance. Carrie Ann said it was risky and not easy, and it was the whole Superbowl. Len said they gave their all. Bruno said they pulled out all the stops and created a crowd pleasing event. Score: 30
