Rachel Crow's 'I'd Rather Go Blind' X Factor Performance Video 11/9/11

Singing last on tonight’s episode of The X Factor is Rachel Crow, singing I’d Rather Go Blind by Etta James from the Cadillac Records Soundtrack. What a good song for Rachel! She’s a gem, isn’t she?

You can tell that Simon is really enjoying the performance, along with the audience.

L.A. Reid said that up until now he wasn’t sure that she was a true contender, but tonight she proved that she has her eye on the target. Nicole Scherzinger said she’s happy that Simon listened to her and took her advice. Rachel said that she picked the song this week. She said her performance was amazing.

Paula Abdul said that she is glad Rachel is teaching Simon humility.

Simon Cowell said he’s not afraid to admit when he does something wrong. He said he trusts her and adores her. He said she reminds him of a mini Beyonce and that she’s back in the game.

    I FEEL THAT RACHEL SHOULD TAKE HOME THE PRIZE….SIMPLY BECAUSE THERES’S NO OTHER ARTIST LIKE HER NOT EVEN IN COMPARISON.SHE’S IN A LEAGUE OF HER OWN.HOWEVER, THE OTHER TALENTS ARE GOOD BUT THERE ARE SIMILARITIES IN THE BIZ WITH THEIR STYLE….HAVING SAID THAT; RACHEAL HAS NO SIMILARITES,WHICH MAKES HER A SUPERSTAR WITH A NEW FOLLOWING!

      Andrew I’m glad you said what I’ve been thinking since Rachel performed Mercy. She has a unique voice, in that you do not turn on the radio and hear it everyday. The other females are good singers, but turn on your radio today, and you’ll hear at least five singers who sound like them and it’s boring. I haven’t heard a sound like Rachel’s however since Stacy Lattisaw….And I have missed it. This girl IS a superstar.

    This kid is by far my favorite. I do see other great talent here but there is something I just love about this girl. She has SOUL.
    I like it much better when she does not go the Beiber route. She’s a young girl that can REALLY sing meaningful heart retching music!!!   LOVE HER.

    OMG she is amazing, I agree with the comment that that she is in a league of her own.  I was waiting for her to sing something like this after two weeks of pop songs.  She picked the song herself, she knows what she is doing.  So much talent in such a darling young girl.  My fave – hope she wins!!

    I honestly 100% agree that Rachel show win this contest. She truly is a gift from heaven and nobody compares or even comes close to her talent. She has overcome so many obstacles and is still standing stronger than ever, she is a true survivor. I stayed up again just so i could see her sing then i realized i could have googled her much earlier.

    Rachel Crow is the BOMB!!!   She sings with the maturity of a professional at such a young age.  Imagine what she will sound like in 5 or 10 years!  Rachel and Josh should be the winners hands down.   Rachel is sooooooo much better than Drew.  Drew is a sweet girl but her voice is not spot on like Rachels is.

    Absolutely superb. That young lady sings better than Drew, Melanie and Stacy put together. Does she deserve to take home the prize? ABSOLUETLY she does, and I will be voting each and every week for her. No split votes either. They are ALL go to the fabulous Rachel Crow.

    What I think separates Rachael from the other singers with the exception of marcus canty is that every week she displays and different sound! She can sing uptempo as well as ballads. I agree with LA Reid in that if she doesn’t win, you’ll see her on tv as the next hannah Montana or raven simone!

      No No No she should not even think about being a disney star or nickelodeon star. I truly hope that those type of talent scouts do not get their hands on her. she is way to amazing to go commercializing herself like that. She was made to be AMAZING and she will be.

    From the start, i knew this girl was great. last week i was ticked. Simon gave her a crappy song to sing.
    Rachel is ten times better than Drew who i fell is a joke. All of Drew songs sound the same.
    I lov Mel and Stacey, Astro, and Josh. But, NONE of them can beat this girl.
    I see tv, movies and a big singing career for her.

    She is the next beyonce, jill scott, jennifer hudson and RACHEL CROW all rolled into one cute little package. Her outfits need better styling. He shoes were super cute, my daughter is begging me now for those shoes. (Never happen at 5 yrs old).

    But Rachel is the going to win hands down. Her next song should be a Jackson Five song like Who’s Loving You. Her vocal tone and range will blast that song into current pop culture.

    I love Rachel Crow. And to learn that she was born to a drug addicted mom tells you that miracles happen. God Bless her.

    Etta James…can be this baby’s great grand mother and this child blew that song into the stratosphere. She is going to win. I wonder what Beyonce, Jill Scott and other professionals were saying as this child performed. My God thank you for bringing us an Angel. She deserves that 5 million on her voice alone. But she will earn 10 times that in her career. Let’s just hope Simon and the folks at 19 produce music that makes her current to her age and fan base and watch this Wild Flower grow. She is a Lotus Flower!

    Rachel has the IT factor. I love astro yet Rachael sounds like a seasoned superstar. Her whole being goes into her performance she is the all around SUPERSTAR that we all need and love to listen to.The only way she should loose is if she gets a contract NOW and leaves to begin her journey. We all love you Rachael Crow and look forward to hearing you in the near future all over the radio. mwahs

    If I had not been watching the X Factor and just listening I would have thought she was a truly professional singer.  Very talented young lady and blessed to have that voice.  No matter what she sings I love it.  I look at all the other shows that has singing talent and I don’t know any young lady or male that can touch her. Rachel is the whole package. I could watch her all night singing. She is so polite and shows that she is thankful for the chance that she is given.

    I was not interested on this show until I watched Rachel sing Mercy. I instantly fell in love with her and her voice, She is the only reason I’m still watching the show and cant wait for her to sing.
