Robert Pattinson disses Twilight?

Is Robert Pattinson dissing the franchise that made him a household name?
During his promotional duties for his new movie Water For Elephants, he was asked whether he enjoyed doing publicity for that movie as opposed to the Twilight movies.
He said, “I mean, I guess so, yeah. It’s nice to know, you know sometimes when you’re doing franchise movies it feels like the publicity is more important to the company than making the actual movie.”
Subtle, yes. But a dis? What do you think? Is he trying to bite the hand that feeds? Or is he just merely saying that he likes the values of the Water For Elephants head honchos? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
