The X Factor USA Performance Live Recap – 11/22/11 (Photos, Video)

It’s a night of giving thanks on tonight’s performance episode of The X Factor USA. Tonight, the top nine contestants will be performing — in an effort to be saved by your votes from tomorrow night’s double elimination! In case you’ve missed last week’s shows, read our performance recap, watch the videos and read about the elimination.

We’ve already said goodbye to Stacy Francis, after it was down to her and Astro in the final showdown. Astro almost didn’t perform, because he didn’t feel that he belonged in the final two. Most of you have said that his attitude alone shouldn’t allow him a spot to continue on the show, but we’ve heard that he has since calmed himself down.

Check out all of tonight’s performance videos! Who do you think has the “X” factor?

Until then, enjoy this video showing which food the contestants enjoy for Thanksgiving the most, along with the photos below! But keep checking back, as we’ll be giving you up-to-the-minute coverage of the show! (Video after the jump due to auto-play)

Update: Astro just tweeted that his good luck charm is in the house. He said, “Just got my good luck charm in the building! Momma Astro is here!” He also tweeted that he’s wrestling with his little sister. Check out the photo.

RECAP:

Tonight’s theme is that the top nine is dedicating their songs to those who’ve made a difference or are inspirational in their lives. The act that scores the lowest amount of votes will be eliminated right off the bat on tomorrow night’s show. Afterward, the two acts with the lowest scores will go head-to-head in the final showdown.

L.A. Reid commented on AstroGate, saying that he commented on the situation the way he was raised to.

Rachel Crow – I Believe by Yolanda Adams
Marcus Canty – A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men

Astro, time to go home. You are not improving. Even your lyrics is arrogant. Show what you got not the X-FACTOR. You are overwhelmed what you hear from the theater including the judges, but the supporter from home is the one who are voting. I say goooooo home.

LA had no business saying that about Drew…the song skyscraper is from demi lovato and she aint no 40 year old chick lol… Drew u were AMAZINGGG

      Exactly!

Josh took the house down. Drew is amazing. A tween is keeping up with seasoned singers. Marcus in tears? Tough decisions America!

Josh Krajcik makes us smile, and cry happy tears all at the same time. Love his voice, and his talent. A lot of talent on this show, but to some of us, Josh is the real deal.

I used to respect LA. After hearing weeks of ignorant statements, I am convinced he is a total tool. Does he not understand the meaning of songs or does he just endorse something that appeals to him? I guess he should be thankful that he has never known a young girl who has been ridiculed and put down but at his age, that is hard to imagine. What a waste of supposed talent he is. And I used to think that Simon was the idiot. My bad. Thanks LA. You are the winner. Hang in there Drew. You are an ARTIST.

Well I, as well as a friend of mine who have never voted b4  last night voted for all  but brato… so if brato was in the bottom 2 last week b4 he told america to shove it….. i see  the brat on a plane back to fantasy island tonight where he can reign as king in  his own mind before he gets sent to jail for breaking some larger  rules other than the tv show.

It has become painfully clear that Chris Rene is not even close to the caliber of talent the other eight possess.  As of last night, I think America understands who should go.  Here are the on sure bets for moving on:  Melanie, Josh, and Drew.  Everyone else is a possible for dismissal.
