The X Factor USA Season 1 Episode 4 Live Auditions Recap 9/29/11

Up first for The X Factor New Jersey auditions is 14-year-old Brooklyn native, Brian Bradley. This kid has major attitude toward Simon after Simon said that he’s a mini-L.A. Reid. He can rap, though. The song he’s rapping is called Stop Lookin’ At My Mom. Simon called him arrogant, obnoxious and talented. All four judges gave him a YES!

Performing next is Kelly Warner, singing Hallelujah. She was pretty good. She got through to Boot Camp. Next up is Aaron Surgeon, singing I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith. Nicole and Paula said yes, Simon said no and L.A. said yes. He’s through to boot camp.

Up next is Liliana Rose Andreano and she’s singing You Are My Sunshine. Not too bad! The judges gave her a yes. Singing next is Andy Silikowitz singing Hero by Mariah Carey. His singing is just plain awful and he doesn’t remember the words to the whole song. The judges said no.

Singing next is Josh Katzman and he’s awful! A big fat NO. Next up is Clarissa Cheatham AKA Cashmere, singing Always Be My Baby by Mariah Carey. She is awful. NEXT! The judges passed.

Nouf Taraman is singing next and she sounds tone deaf. She got attitude with the audience. The judges said no. Performing next is Jean Loup Wolfman singing You Better Think. The judges said no.

Mya Lehman is up next and she’s butchering We Are The Champions by Queen. Holy crap, someone kill us now. The judges said no. Cari Fletcher is up next, singing Alone by Heart. Wow that was great. Four yes’s from the judges, even though Simon didn’t seem to like her and called her boring. Emily Machalak sang next and she was also good. She got through to boot camp.

Singing next is a duo called Awsem, consisting of Austin and Emily, who are both 15. They are okay, but not anything special. Simon said yes, L.A. said Austin is a star and he’s not convinced of the duo, but he said yes. Nicole said Austin has a good voice…She seems undecided, but the group got the audience chanting. She said yes.

Tora Woloshin is up next singing I Want You Back by The Jackson 5 and the crowd is digging it. All of the judges said yes. Performing next is Jor-El Garcia singing Lucky Star by Madonna. He’s got stage presence, but his singing is terrible. The judges passed.

Singing next is John Duff and he’s awful. The judges said no. Up next is Darlene and Sherone, and they’re awful, too. Ugh. The judges said no. Up next is Ric White singing Land Of A Thousand Dances.

Performing next is a group called the Stereo Hoggz, singing a song that I could barely understand. L.A. said yes, Nicole said yes, Paula also said yes and Simon said yes, as well.

Singing next is Brennin Hunt and he’s performing an original song called How We Make It. He’s actually pretty good. All of the judges said yes. Performing next is Paige Elizabeth Ogle and she’s singing You And I by Lady Gaga. The judges all said yes.

LeRoy Bell is up next, singing Lean On Me. He got four yes’s from the judges. Up next is the Brewer Boys and they got through, as well. Nick Dean is up next, singing a song called Walk Away. The judges said yes.
