Two And A Half Men Season 9 Episode 8 Questions

After watching last night’s Two And A Half Men episode, titled Thanks For The Intercourse, I had some thoughts to share — and some questions. In case you’ve missed the show, you can read our recap here.

Brief show summary:

Walden donates Charlie’s old piano, Alan goes nuts and embodies his late brother, in picking up a woman, drinking Scotch, wearing his clothes and smoking cigars. In the end, Alan gets tossed in the looney bin and says the catchphrase of the year, “Winning!” — only after ordering ice, Scotch and some Asian hookers on his “hand phone”.

Questions:

Are the show creators that desperate to leave Charlie’s ghost hanging around the show that they made Alan go crazy and act like Charlie? When people started saying to bring back Charlie Sheen, we’re pretty sure this is not what they meant.

Was Jon Cryer able to pull off the whole Alan as Charlie charade? Did he do the role justice? We’ve seen many on-screen transformations (thanks, True Blood), so we were curious as to what you thought about the role switch-up.

Is Two And A Half Men desperate to hold onto anything Charlie? Yes, they got rid of his famous piano, but his ghost is lingering in the script, mucking about. I mean, wasn’t it an obvious dig at Charlie when Alan said, “Winning” and the end?

What do you think? Sound off in the comments below and let us know!

Thought Alan was a very lame Charlie Harper. Thought “Winning” line was very petty and mocking.  Think that writers know that the whole show is still about charlie, look at the episodes, his funeral, his ex-girl scamming on walden, his journal, and now his faux persona as played by alan.  it was a valiant attempt but ultimately a mere shadow of the real thing.  I wonder if Charlie Sheen is getting any royalties for the continued use of his character, he should be. chuck lorre may be making a lot of money and petty revenge from pimping the charlie harper still, but respect and class, no where close.

If they can make last nights whole episode “a dream” why can’t they do the same thing and bring Charlie back??  I thought the funniest moments were without “Walden” in the scene.  I wish Herb was in more episodes.  He’s hilarious.  And what’s up with all the gross “gay” inuendo this season???  It’s getting ridiculous.

Seems to me that every eposide seems to be about Charlie in some form or fashion, I take it as the producers stalling for time until the Walden character comes to life and can carry the show “Don’t think its gonna happen” They should just bring Charlie back or end the program. If it continues in this direction it will lose some of its legacy.

They need to weed charlie and his idea out once and for alll. because they are not only holding on to him they are mocking his mental stability. which in my opinion is rude. – i mean they kicked him off , is that not enough. -
