Whitney Houston To Make Movie Return In 'Sparkle'

Songbird Whitney Houston is gearing up to make her big screen comeback as part of a remake of the 1976 musical, Sparkle.

Reportedly, Whitney is in talks currently to star in the movie reboot. She hasn’t starred in a movie since 1996′s The Preacher’s Wife, but she is in negotiations to return to the big screen after fifteen years.

According to reports, Sparkle focuses on three sisters from Harlem who form a musical group, set in the 1960′s. Reportedly, Jordin Sparks has already signed on to make her big screen debut.

    This is definitely exciting!  Whitney Houston is a legend and we are lucky that we didn’t lose her like Michael Jackson and that she managed to turn her life around.  Sparkle is a very good story and I think it will be a special movie.  I cannot wait to see it and support Whitney.  I also think that Jordin Sparks is a talented young girl.
