Jake Gyllenhaal To Play Christian Grey?

Jake Gyllenhaal is the latest celebrity to stake a possible claim on the role of Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of “Fifty Shades Of Grey.” We’ve heard other possible names lined up for the role, such as Alexander Skarsgard, Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer.

Emma Watson had been previously linked to the role of the young submissive Anastasia Steele, but quickly distanced herself from the speculation. Jake, however, is doing the exact opposite and wants to get involved with the filming of the S&M series.

When speaking with Ryan Seacrest, he was asked if he would be interested in playing Christian. He replied, “Yeah, of course! I always want to work, man, of course.”

He went on to say, “That’s super flattering. I mean, I have not heard that, but if that’s true then that’s a nice thing. It’s always nice to be considered.”

There is a long list of actors reportedly being considered for the part. That list includes Channing Tatum, Tom Hardy and Ryan Gosling, in addition to those mentioned above. Do you think Jake would be a good fit for the role? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments!

  1. Ian Somherhalder is the only one I can imagine…he’s got the edginess, sec appeal, and the soft side to go with those grey eyes.

  3. Well, he is better than Ian Somerhalder in the fact that he is tall enough to be taken seriously in the role, other than that, meh .. nothing there, he acts better than Ian as well, but still not Christian Grey material, very few are.
