’90210′ To End After Five Seasons On The CW

“90210″ is ending its run on the CW after only five seasons, because the show has apparently turned into a ratings flop! Who knew?!?
The show followed the famous “Beverly Hills, 90210″ which aired for a generous ten seasons. This time, however, the show has lost a lot of its following and has not been picked up for a sixth season. The CW’s president Mark Pedowitz said in a statement, “The CW has had five great seasons with America’s favorite zip code, 90210. I’d like to thank the talented cast, producers and crew for all their hard work and dedication to the series. We are very proud of the West Beverly High alumni.”
The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop:
Hitting a series low of a 0.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 550,000 viewers for the Feb. 18 episode, the current season has seen the aging drama drop quite a bit in the ratings. Season-to-date, it is averaging a 0.4 in the demo and 928,000 viewers. It gets a Live+7 DVR boost, but just enough to push it to a 0.7 rating in 18-49.
Jessica Lowndes took to her official Twitter page to say, “I feel very blessed that I had the opportunity to play Adrianna these past 5 seasons. Thank you for your endless support. I love you guys xo. To my amazing cast, I have LOVED working with each and every one of you. I’m excited to see what you all do next! I expect great things. xo.”
Are you sad to see the show go? Were you hoping that it would last longer than five seasons? The show’s season finale airs on May 13th and will feature Michael Jackson’s son Prince Michael Jackson. Will you be tuning in? Hit the comments and leave us your favorite memory from the show!
