Cyndi Lauper Blasts The Music Industry

Singing icon Cyndi Lauper has blasted the music industry after discussing rap music in a new interview with “Sway In The Morning.” She said that she likes 50 Cent and his “buttery-smooth” voice and also commented that Lil Wayne has written some pretty powerful stuff.

“I think though the industry itself makes you not be able to write about issues. They don’t want issues out there so they make the kids write about sex and violence and that impacts the young African American women in a way that they feel is a little negative.”
