Jesaiah Baer’s American Idol Audition Video

Wednesday night on FOX, “American Idol” returned with auditions in San Antonio, Texas and Long Beach, California. The highlight of the show came when Jesaiah Baer performed her rendition of Kimbra’s song “Settle Down”. In case you’ve missed the show, you can find out who got the golden ticket in our live recap here.
Jesaiah’s performance was blocked by the fire alarm going off on the Queen Mary, but was quickly resumed when it was revealed that something caught fire in one of the kitchen areas of the massive ship. Watch Jesaiah’s performance below:
Her performance was what made retro singing stars so classy and natural. She sounds like her voice is straight out of a 1940′s speakeasy. We loved it. It was a hard song and she totally nailed it. It was very obvious as soon as she began singing the first time that she was getting the golden ticket to Hollywood.
What did you think of Jesaiah’s performance of “Settle Down”? Were you infatuated by her talent at such a young age? We certainly weren’t expecting her to have such a big voice. Was this your favorite performance of the evening? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.

Very proud of my local girl! Saw her perform for a local charity when she was ten years old. I believe she had “the it factor”

Thanks for showing this on-line as we did not see the show on Wednesday. Couldn’t believe that voice from a 16 year old. Enjoyed Josaiah’s performance greatly and the calm way she began after the alarm.
