Even though there have been rumblings about Jennifer Lopez quitting “American Idol”, this news might come as a bit of a surprise. We’re hearing that Randy Jackson might actually be the one who gets replaced on the show — by none other than Adam Lambert! Can you believe that?
Changing up the judges isn’t that much of a surprise to anyone who’s been watching the show. He’s been in the judge’s chair since the show’s inception in 2002, but apparently his loyalty must not mean a thing to the powers that be at the FOX talent competition. Not that we’re not digging Adam as a possible judge…
Reportedly, Adam has been in talks with the show’s bosses — who see him as the perfect addition to the “American Idol” family. He does have a huge fan base and since appearing on the show, he does know what the contestants go through.
A source revealed, “He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the judges’ comments, he has a human touch and they know they can’t go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him.”
The source went on to say, “Randy is great, but he’s part of the old ‘Idol’. They want to keep the soul of the show but have a new look, and for that reason he may well not be part of the new line up.”
Those in the know say that “Idol” bosses are clamoring to do whatever is necessary to keep J-Lo on board with the show. Another spy revealed, “I don’t know if they can afford Jennifer, but they have let it be known that she has a guaranteed spot if she wants it. She appeals to everyone so the big bosses are in favor of keeping her on.”
Who do you want to see on the judging panel of the twelfth season of “American Idol”???
