Amanda Bynes Hospitalized On 5150 Hold; Parents Credit Sam Lutfi

We were all holding out serious hope that Amanda Bynes would get the help that she so desperately needs and now she is! Amanda’s parents Rick and Lynn Bynes utilized the help of Britney Spears’ former pal Sam Lutfi in order to get the troubled actress back to Los Angeles and into a hospital.

Just recently, Amanda began spinning out of control once again and had caused concern for fans, family and friends. On Twitter, she accused her father of incest and then backtracked, attributing the crazy statements to the microchip that her father had put in her head. If that wasn’t bad enough, she was also seen dancing around stores in New York City where she allegedly tried to steal a $200 hat and a $128 t-shirt — both in the same day.

Now, she is getting the help she needs at the Pasadena Hospital. The 5150 hold could last anywhere between 72 hours and two weeks – but we’ve learned that in the meantime, Amanda’s parents will be moving to get another conservatorship over her. TMZ has the scoop on how Lutfi managed to pull off the elaborate ruse:

We now have more clarification as to how Lutfi pulled it off. He told Amanda her car would be making 2 stops. First, to the lawyer’s office in Pasadena and then to the London Hotel in West Hollywood where she would confront her parents and tell them about the lawsuit.

She never got to the London, because the driver went to a Pasadena hospital which looked like an office building. Amanda thought she was going to see the lawyer but when she walked inside she was surrounded by hospital staff.

We’re not sure how or why Sam Lutfi was able to get involved and despite his past with Britney Spears, we are glad that he was able to step in and help Amanda’s parents out. I’m just trying to figure out how she thought to trust him in the first place. No sane person would have….wait, that explains it completely.
