Amazon’s Transparent Will Be Free To Watch On Saturday

Transparent TV on Amazon Prime

Amazon scored a huge win when its original series Transparent won a Golden Globe for best series. In celebration of that major victory, Amazon Prime will offer the streaming series for free — but only for one day.

On Saturday, January 24, non-Amazon Prime customers will be able to watch the show in its entirety for 24 hours.

If you don’t have time to binge watch an entire season of Transparent, you will also be able to purchase Amazon Prime for just $72, in celebration of the 72nd annual Golden Globes. That’s a $27 savings over Amazon’s regular $99 per year pricing for Prime service.

Transparent, written and directed by Jill Soloway and starring Jeffrey Tambor is a critics darling, and has recently received the support of the LGBQ community. The original series follows a transgender parent (Tambor) in his quest to come out to his self-absorbed family. He may have his secrets, but his family members also have their own skeletons in the closet — so to speak.

Transparent took home the Best Television Series for a Comedy or Musical and the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series—Comedy or Musical. The show was most recently nominated for a GLAAD award.

You can watch the entire first season HERE starting on Saturday, January 24.
