Tonight on FOX is an all new episode of the hit singing competition “American Idol”. It’s the Hollywood Rounds once again as the girls take the stage to perform for the judges. On last week’s show, the guys performed for the judges and there were some stunning (and not so stunning) eliminations. In case you’ve missed the show, we have it recapped for you here.
Now that the guys have already been whittled down by the judges, it’s up to the girls to perform tonight! Who will get through to the next stage of the competition? Who will be sent home packing by the judges? It’s really anyone’s game at this point, so stay tuned for our official recap of the show.
Tonight, we are looking forward to performances by Jesaiah Baer, Shubha Vedula, Briana Oakley, Megan Miller, Brandy Alexandria Hamilton and Candice Glover. Who are you looking forward to hearing perform tonight?
As always, stay tuned for our awesome live coverage of the show as it airs tonight on FOX at 8PM EST. Refresh this page often for updates as we love to update a lot! Keep it tuned to Earsucker for our live updates, but until then, tell us who you’re rooting for on the show so far!
Up first is Mariah Pulice and she’s singing from the heart. Not bad, but she might be cut. Next up is Angela Miller. She’s got some pipes, but we’re not sure if she’s going to get through. Singing “Killing Me Softly” is Victoria Acosta. Love her voice! Getting called forward are Angela and Victoria, who are moving forward, leaving the others to get the axe.
Rachel Hale is up next and she is super talented. She should definitely get through, even though we’re not fans of the genre. Janelle Arthur is singing next and she’s doing phenomenally. Both are great singers. Getting called front are Janelle and Rachel, who are getting through to the next round.
Candice Glover is taking the stage and her voice is phenomenal…she’s feeling every note. Following that is Megan Miller and she’s great, as well. Getting called forward are Lauren, Candice and Shira (?)and they are all getting through.
Isabelle is up next and she has got some range. Get it girl! She got through! Up next is Kez Ban and she is horrible…ugh. Next up is Briana Oakley and she can sing! Getting through to the next round are all of them from this group.
Next up are the group rounds! The Swaggettes are up first and they’re singing “Hit Em Up” by Blue Cantrell. They sounded great together, good for them! They are all going through to the next round.
Raisin’ Cane is up next and they’re rockin’ a country song together. They aren’t bad, but Mariah is giving it that look like she’s merely tolerating it. They are all getting through!
Almost famous is up next and they’re performing “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye. They butchered that whole song. Deja is getting through, but the rest have been eliminated.
The Dramatics are up next and they’re having trouble connecting with Janel. They’re singing “If I Die Young” by The Band Perry. Meh. They are all going through to the next stage of the competition.
Urban Hue are up next and some of it is all butchered with their version of “American Boy”. Hmmm. Nicki called it painful. Agreed. Saretha is getting sent home and they are keeping the rest of the ladies.
Singing next is the Two Steps and they’re singing “Knock On Wood”. Zoanette is scary! What a mismatched group audition. Holy crap, we’re not sure if we loved it or hated it. Lauren is getting cut from the competition.
The next group is singing “Somebody That I Used To Know” and no one is really standing out. This was an awful song choice for all of them. That couldn’t have gone worse. Getting called forward is Liz Billes, who is getting through to the next round.
The group up next first had “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” and then chose “Somebody That I Used To Know”. Stepping forward are Stephanie and Hollie and they are getting through to the next round. Now we’re being treated to a montage of chicks writing lyrics on their hands. Ugh.
The Dolly Chicks are up next and they have lyrics on their arms. Britnee is killing it! These girls are actually really good together. Not bad at all! Getting called forward are Haley, Kree and Britnee and they are through to the next round. Brandy Neelly was eliminated, even though she was a really good singer.
The last group of the night is singing “Be My Baby” and they’re not half bad. We’re not sure about the song choice, but they seemed to enjoy it and made it work. Nicki gave them a standing ovation. They all got through and Nicki said that they were the best group of the day.
And that’s a wrap! Who was your favorite group performance of the evening? Hit the comments and let us know your thoughts!
