American Idol Results Elimination Recap 4/11/13

Tonight on FOX is an all new results elimination episode of the hit singing competition “American Idol“. On Wednesday night’s show, the top six competitors took on two songs for the night. The first song was from the Burt Bacharach and Hal David songbook. The second song the Idol hopefuls sang was a song that they wish they had written.

In case you’ve missed the show last night, you can read our fully detailed recap of the show here. Below, we have a mini recap of the events:

Candice Miller and Kree Harrison really shined last night with both of their performances. Not so wonderful last night was Lazaro Arbos, who may likely get eliminated tonight. In case you’ve missed it, both of his performances were very lackluster. We’re guessing that Angie Miller and Amber Holcomb will be safe from elimination, leaving Janelle Arthur and Lazaro Arbos in the bottom two of the competition.

Who are you rooting for to win the competition? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. Stay tuned for our live recap of the show tonight as it airs from 8 to 10PM EST!

The show kicks off with the top six contestants singing a medley of Bacharach/David hits. Now, we are looking at highlights for Kree, Angie and Lazaro.

Angie is sent to the far side of the stage. Up next Lazaro is sent to a different side of the stage. And on the other side of these two they put Kree. What does it all mean??

Scottie McCreery is making his return to the show to perform “See You Tonight”. Back to the results! Janelle is being sent to join Angie on the far side of the stage. Next, Candice is being sent to Kree. Lastly, Amber is being sent to join Lazaro.

They are separated into pairs. One is the top two, another is the middle and the final group is the bottom.

Kelly Clarkson is back on the show to debut her new song “People Like Us”. And Ryan Seacrest threw a shout out to Brian Dunkelman!

After the nationwide vote, America’s top two are Kree and Candice! Of course!! Derp. Lazaro and Amber are in the bottom two, leaving Angie and Janelle safe! They are also leaving the cameras rolling during the commercial break.

After 34 million votes, it’s been decided that Lazaro is up for elimination and must sing for the judges’ save. Lazaro is singing “I’m Feelin’ Good”.

The judges have decided NOT to use their save for Lazaro! Are you shocked by the elimination?
