On Thursday night, “American Idol” returned to Fox with an all new episode of the hit singing competition. In case you’ve missed last night’s auditions in New York and New Jersey, you can read our fully detailed episode recap here. The first round of auditions brought some pretty awesome talent to the judges, so was night two of the auditions any match?
Nicki Minaj referred to night two’s auditions as “unbelievable” and “remarkable”. Not only were things heating up with the talent, but things got a bit feisty between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj as well.
As we’ve witnessed last night, Randy Jackson is turning into Mr. Nasty with his commentary. He told one contestant this evening, “You’re tone deaf.”
The highlight for us this evening was the fact that Johnny Keyser returned to the show. He was on last season, but didn’t make it through. Brandy Neelly also returned to the show. Newcomers to the show which proved to have some distinct talent were Kiara Lanier, Isabel Pasqualone, Curtis Finch Jr., Josh Holiday, Kez Ban and last but definitely not least, Lazaro Arbos. Lazaro is the one that everyone is still talking about with his fresh talent and huge voice.
From the Chicago auditions, 46 singers made it through to the Hollywood stage of the competition. Which of the competitors were your favorite? Hit the comments and let us know your thoughts on the Chicago auditions!
