American Idol Recap: Top 7 Elimination Results 4/12/12

American Idol Top 7 Elimination Results 4/12/12

On last night’s performance episode of American Idol, we saw some really good performances. The remaining seven contestants took on modern hits from 2010 until today. Our favorite performance of the entire evening was Elise Testone and Phillip Phillips’ rendition of Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye. In case you’ve missed last night’s show, you can read our full episode recap here.

Here’s a brief run-down of who performed what last night:

Skylar Laine – Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You by Kellie Pickler
Colton Dixon – Love The Way You Lie by Skylar Grey
Jessica Sanchez – Stuttering by Jazmine Sullivan
Joshua Ledet – Runaway Baby by Bruno Mars
Hollie Cavanagh – Perfect by Pink
Phillip Phillips – Give A Little More by Maroon 5
Elise Testone – You & I by Lady Gaga

We are hearing rumors that our favorite Phillip Phillips might be in jeopardy on tonight’s elimination show. We were feeling like it was more like time for Hollie Cavanagh or Elise Testone to go (before Phil? come on!), but at this stage really anything can happen.

If Phillip does end up in the bottom and faces the judges, they had better use their only save for him. Seriously, he has been fantastic all season and we wouldn’t really have any reason to watch if he’s booted from the show.

Stay tuned for our up-to-the-minute recap of the full show — tonight at 9pm EST. Refresh often because we update this space LIKE A BOSS.

Come on…are you guys tone deaf!  Philip Philips better known as the screamer can’t carry a tune.  Please!!

Well that is a matter of opinion.  We happen to like Phillip on the show and will continue to vote for him over those mediocre singers.  Are you deaf?
