Anna Kendrick To Give Special Performance During Oscars

Anna Kendrick has been announced as the newest performer at the Oscars. In a tweet sent out on Monday the Into the Woods actress shared the good news on her Twitter account.

“Excited to announce @TheAcademy has invited me to be part of a special performance at the #Oscars on Feb. 22nd!” she wrote.

The actresses performance was confirmed by Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. They revealed that she “will be performing something special that is sure to be an ‘Only on the Oscars’ moment.”

On Monday the Academy Awards also added Scarlett Johansson, Octavia Spencer, Zoe Saldana and Josh Hutcherson to its list of Oscar presenters on Monday. Already confirmed for roles was Benedict Cumberbatch, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, and Marion Cotillard.

Anna Kendrick was last nominated for an Oscar for her Best Supporting Actress role in the 2009 movie Up in the Air. 

The 87th Academy Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will air live on ABC on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. ET.
