‘American Idol’ Top Three Spoiler
by Jessica LeFevre on May.14, 2012, under articles

“American Idol” has dwindled the remaining competition from four contestants to three on last Thursday’s elimination episode. We saw the exit of Hollie Cavanagh and were left with Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet. In case you’ve missed the elimination episode, you can read our full official recap here.
According to sources, the remaining three competitors will be performing three songs each — each from three separate categories. The network has announced that the theme for Wednesday’s performance episode will be “choice”. In addition to “Their Choice”, the contestants will perform a “Judge’s Choice”, along with a choice from Jimmy Iovine.
Jimmy has offered a lot of critiques on the choices that the Idols have picked for themselves, so it remains to be seen as to whether or not his choice will throw the contestants off — or if it will separate the true talent from the others.
In the end, only one can win the title of our next “American Idol”. Who do you think it’s going to be?
Mad Men Recap: Episode 9 ‘Dark Shadows’ 5/13/12
by Jessica LeFevre on May.13, 2012, under articles

Tonight at 10PM EST on AMC is an all new episode of the fifth season of “Mad Men” titled “Dark Shadows”. In case you’ve missed last week’s episode, titled, “Lady Lazarus”, you can read our full recap here.
Tonight’s episode centers around Don and Sally Draper, along with Roger Sterling. From this episode, we learn: “Don becomes competitive and Roger seeks new business. Sally faces a challenge.” Don hasn’t been all that competitive this season, so this should prove interesting. Also with Roger seeking out new business, I wonder if he’ll turn that over to Pete or handle that himself? We’re also curious what type of challenge Sally faces in this “dirty” city? I hope it has something to do with her relationship with Glenn.
Stay tuned as we recap the show LIVE at 10PM EST. We’ll have all of the details of tonight’s episode before any janky websites. Refresh often for the latest scoop!
Hollie Cavanagh Eliminated; ‘American Idol’ Top Three Visit Their Hometowns
by Jessica LeFevre on May.12, 2012, under articles

Despite being eliminated on Thursday night’s episode of “American Idol”, finalist Hollie Cavanagh does not regret choosing Bonnie Raitt’s hit song “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”
She said, “I love that song. It’s so beautiful and I’m glad I got to perform it. I definitely felt that song. It didn’t come across the way Jimmy wanted it to. That’s fine. I re-watched it and I do agree there were parts I could have expanded more. But I stand by it.”
Now that it’s all said and done, Hollie revealed that she would like to record a pop album. She said, “I would like my album to be on the pop side with a little bit of soul. I would like to make music that is one the top of the charts right now.”
Would you buy Hollie’s debut album? Now that she’s gone from the competition, who are you putting your support behind? Left in the competition are Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet — who are all going to their respective hometowns for their Hometown Heroes segment of the show.
Justin Theroux Is Dumping Jennifer Aniston?
by Jessica LeFevre on May.12, 2012, under articles

Is Jennifer Aniston going back on the market anytime soon? We highly doubt that she’s having any problems with her latest boyfriend Justin Theroux, but “Star” magazine suggests that he’s already bored of their relationship.
Reportedly, he is keen on moving on from their short-lived romance. He was said to felt pressure to leave New York City and into Jennifer’s mansion in Los Angeles and wants his old life back. A source told the publication, “Even though Justin was blown away by Jen’s charm, sexiness and power, he now feels they aren’t compatible. The bloom is off the rose. He wants his old home, his old love Heidi Bivens and his old life back. Justin and Heidi still talk, and they are very supportive of each other.”
The source went on to say, “Justin feels she’s handled herself with grace, never becoming nasty or vindictive though it was a total shock when he began seeing Jen behind her back while they were still living together. Justin is full of remorse and regret which he has told Heidi. Justin wants a family, but he doesn’t want it with Jen.”
Jennifer reportedly told Justin that he had to stop being friendly with Heidi. The source revealed, “Jen’s had it. As if it’s not enough that she’s getting grief over the Brangelina engagement, with everyone pointing out that she’s still childless and husband-less, now she’s still got this hangover from Justin’s past haunting her! She told him he had to decide between her or Heidi – and it caused a huge bust-up between them.”
Ryan Seacrest Wants To Marry Julianne Hough
by Jessica LeFevre on May.11, 2012, under articles

It’s no secret that “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest’s girlfriend Julianne Hough was harboring a crush on contestant Phillip Phillips. After Phillip performed on April 25th, Ryan called Julianne out for her crush — on national television. After the judges’ commentary on Phillip’s Dave Matthews Band cover of “The Stone”, Ryan put it all out there.
Ryan said that his girlfriend was watching Phillip backstage. He told the audience, “I think she sighed and blushed and said, ‘Yummy’.” She was laughing backstage when the cameras panned to her and he added, “We’ll be having this conversation after the show darling.”
After telling Ryan that he wasn’t trying to steal his girl, he took to Twitter to say this to Julianne: “@juliannehough hahahah it was soo funny when ryan called you out last night, i didnt excpect that! haha”.
Now, it appears that in the wake of the hilarity, Ryan is getting serious about asking Julianne to be his wife. They have been dating for two years and the “Idol” host said, “It’s something we talk about. On our anniversary night we talked about the things that we’d done that year. I think I did everything right! We wouldn’t televise our wedding.”
Of course all of that didn’t stop Ryan for faking a proposal on Wednesday night’s show. We thought he was going to pop the question right then. Instead, he wanted her to give a note to Tom Cruise. Meh.
‘Jersey Shore’ Star Blasts Bristol Palin For Barack Obama Comments
by Jessica LeFevre on May.11, 2012, under articles

Bristol Palin really put her foot in her mouth when she opened it to express her opinions on President Obama’s support of gay marriage. Most disturbingly, she said that “we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.”
Ironically, her son Tripp is not growing up in a home with a mother and a father, so we don’t think Bristol has any right to speak on the subject. It came off as ignorant — and apparently Jenni “JWoww” Farley from “Jersey Shore” agrees.
She took to her official Twitter account to say, “Bristol should keep her uneducated, ignorant mouth shut. If you’re living in the past you wouldn’t have a kid without marriage. Hypocrite. It’s 2012! My best friend will get married one day and not just have a civil union with his man. Stop hating people.”

WATCH:
Steven Tyler said it’s another winning performance and why doesn’t she tell them how she really feels. Congratulations. Jennifer Lopez said it’s going to be a real race to the finish. There’s nothing to say, her vocal ability is not something you see all of the time. She let out so much through her voice. It was a real moment and that was amazing. Randy Jackson said they are really in it to win it. He said it’s one of the hardest songs in the world to sing, but she got up there and slayed it.

VIDEO: Hollie Cavanagh Performs ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ On ‘American Idol’ Top 4
by Jessica LeFevre on May.09, 2012, under articles

For her second song of the evening on “American Idol”, Hollie Cavanagh is taking on “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt. If you’re missing the show, you’re in luck, because we’re recapping it live at this link.
Left in the competition are Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Hollie Cavanagh. Who’s your favorite?
WATCH:
Steven Tyler said it’s not how you sing the song, but it’s how you say the words. He said it fell a little short. Jennifer Lopez said it’s easier to sing those songs if you’ve felt those things. She felt that Hollie brought emotion, but it had too much vibrato. Her vocal went off on this one. Randy Jackson said she’s a different singer than Bonnie Raitt and she needed a moment. There were no moments for him and it was the wrong song choice at the wrong moment.

Beastie Boys Hit With Lawsuit A Before After Adam Yauch’s Death
by Jessica LeFevre on May.09, 2012, under articles

The Beastie Boys were hit with a lawsuit just one day after Adam Yauch’s untimely death. Adam, also known as MCA, passed away after a three year battle with cancer on May 4, 2012. On May 3rd, the popular rap group was sued over copyright infringement claims by a group called Trouble Funk. Talk about bad timing!
The funk group is claiming that the Beastie Boys wrongfully sampled material from their catalog on their albums “Licensed To Ill” and “Paul’s Boutique”. The group submitted their lawsuit on May 3rd and they allege that the Beastie Boys used samples from their songs, “Say What” and “Drop The Bomb” on four of their earlier tracks.
An attorney for the prosecution released a statement regarding the lawsuit to E! News. Kelly Talcott said, “I was very sorry to hear of Adam Yauch’s untimely passing, and can assure you that the unfortunate timing of the filing of TufAmerica’s complaint had nothing to do with his health. On behalf of myself and TufAmerica, I offer our condolences to Adam’s family, friends and fans.”
Unfortunate timing is an understatement. Besides that, we’ve listened to Trouble Funk’s songs and they don’t sound a thing like anything that the Beastie Boys have put out.

Jennifer Lopez Wants To Marry & Have Babies With Casper Smart
by Jessica LeFevre on May.08, 2012, under articles

According to the latest gossip, “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez is looking to take her relationship with boyfriend Casper Smart to the next level. Reportedly, Jennifer wants to have a baby with Casper and take it a step further by getting married to the former backup dancer.
A spy close to Jennifer said that Casper has already gone from backup dancer to her lead choreographer and that is just evidence that she wants more. The source revealed that Jennifer wants to make Casper “more respectable and more of an equal” in the media along with her personal team.
The spy said, “He knows when to bend and when to stand up to her. He’s very savvy about handling women in general.”
The Jennifer source said, “Jennifer also wants to have another baby”, but with Casper. Do you think that they will be talking marriage and babies before the end of the year? Is their relationship that serious already? We’ve got to wonder, considering that she’s not divorced from Marc Anthony just yet.
