On the May 21st episode of “The Bachelorette”, Emily Maynard dismissed Joe Gendreau after their date didn’t work out. The atmosphere on their date was completely awkward and it didn’t appear that they were into each other at all. Now, he’s opening up about the experience.

When asked about what went wrong on their date, he said, “We really didn’t hit it off with each other. We are in different places in our lives. I was a single, free-spirited individual. She was looking for someone more settled and committed to family and work.”

He also said that his five-year plans were different than hers and that caused a problem for them to be able to move on together. He said, “I agree that altered her decision. I said, ‘I want to be happy with no regrets.’ I think she was more looking for more detail like, ‘I want to be here with these many kids.’ I didn’t take offense. She’s determined in what she wants and she didn’t see that in me.”

He doesn’t regret answering in the manner that he did, either. He said, “That’s something I’d like to achieve. I answered truthfully. That’s me being myself.”

After having seen the show, he was asked if he thought it was the right call for Emily. He said, “Whether she made the right decision is on her. After she made her mind up, I was content to move on. I was really happy with everything that happened. I went in open-minded and put myself out there. We just didn’t click. She was very sweet, and I wish her the best. I’m sure she’ll find the right guy.”

In case you hadn’t heard, Will Smith was on the red carpet promoting his new movie “Men In Black 3″ when a Ukranian reporter decided to land a kiss. Will acted with his reflexes and slapped the bejesus out of the guy. Basically, that became the slap heard around the world.

Now, Brad Pitt is discussing SlapGate, likely in promotion of his new movie “Killing Them Softly”. Will talked about the incident to David Letterman, telling the talk show host that the journalist crossed the line.

Brad said, “I stay away from the entertainment gossip. I don’t want to slap anyone. Why would that happen? I would never want to hurt anyone.”

The journalist has since apologized for the incident, but commented that he had a “splash of emotion.”

Is Brad just using the incident to help his movie at Cannes? You know, all publicity is good publicity, right?

In case you were wondering if Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was ready to birth a guido or a guidette, you’re in luck. Snooki broke the news to “In Touch Weekly” that she’s having a bouncing baby boy! We’re sure she is just over the moon with excitement.

She told the publication that she and fiance Jionni LaValle are expecting a baby boy this September. She revealed, “Everyone said I was going to have a boy, and they were right!”

They are also trying to decide between two names for their bundle of joy and it’s down to Lorenzo or Jionni Jr. Snooki said, “I thought it was going to be a girl. I was hoping it would be, because all girls want girls. It’s still my baby, no matter what. I’m excited either way!”

Now that she’s showing off her bump and is gearing up for motherhood, she talked about her cravings. She said, “I love anything cold and juicy, like Italian ices.” She also revealed too much information about her and Jionni’s bedroom time. She said, “Our sex life is hardly there! I just feel too icky and gross. I’m so not in the mood to do stuff.”

If you’ve been watching season eleven of “American Idol”, then you know that it’s really been a tough race between Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips. Last night’s performance finale of the show was no different. If you’ve missed the show, you can read our fully detailed recap here.

For the first round, Jessica and Phillip performed Simon Fuller’s choice for them. For Jessica, he wanted her to sing Whitney Houston’s song, “I Have Nothing”. For Phillip, Simon chose “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King. The judges credited Jessica for her vocal prowess for the round. We begged to differ and even more so after having listened to the studio version of Phillip’s cover.

For the second round, the contestants took on their favorite performance from the season. Jessica chose to go with “The Prayer” by Celine Dion, while Phillip chose “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song)” by Billy Joel. Both performed well, but again, the judges gave the round to Jessica.

For their final performance of the evening, both competitors belted out their winning coronation song, which would be their first single should they win the competition. Jessica performed a song called “Change Nothing”, but Phillip’s performance of his new song, “Home” really drew applause from the audience along with a standing ovation from the judges.

Overall, it’s up to America’s votes as to who wins this season of the show. This is the song that Jessica will be debuting on her first album should she win the competition. It’s a heartfelt ballad. It’s got a good message in the song, but I’m not sure if this is a song I’d purchase on iTunes. What do you think?

Randy said that she came a long way. He did not love the song, but she made something more of the song. She’s got a Beyonce sort of swag. She brought the song to life, but he thought the song was just okay. Jennifer said she wouldn’t have done that song for her first song. Steven said he knows how good she can sing, but he didn’t feel that the song was a proper song for her to sing.

This was a good song selection for Jessica and she’s totally killing it! Good for her. What a great way for them to kick off the show. She can’t hit a lot of the notes that Whitney did, but she’s still doing a great job.

“American Idol” is down to the top two in what’s likely to be the showdown of the year! The top two contenders, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips are ready to battle it out for your votes! Nigel Lythgoe has said that Joshua Ledet was his favorite and has also revealed what will be going down on tonight’s show. Jessica and Phillip will be taking on three songs tonight: Favorite song of theirs from the competition, along with a selection from Simon Fuller and their winning song. The last song will mark the “American Idol” winner’s first single.

On tomorrow night’s season finale, Joshua Ledet is rumored to be performing with Fantasia and Jessica Sanchez will be taking on a song with Jennifer Holliday. We have yet to hear who Phillip Phillips will be singing alongside tomorrow…(Dave Matthews maybe?)

John Mayer is now voicing his regret for describing former girlfriend Jessica Simpson as “sexual napalm”. John and Jessica dated for nine months between 2006 and 2007 and in an interview, he described how Jessica was in the sack.

Now he says that he regrets his comments, but said that he did it to make himself appear more exciting. It sounds like a bit of a douche move to us, but that’s John Mayer, isn’t it?

He revealed in a new interview, “I had nothing to say. I was going through a time in my life where I didn’t really want to share what was going on, but I didn’t want to be boring.”

He went on to say, “When you’re just open, but not honest, then you start free-associating garbage. It doesn’t mean I can go back and scrub it out, bit I understand it now.”

During his interview for “Playboy” magazine, he said, “Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me. Sexually it was crazy. That’s all I’ll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm.”

Afterward, Jessica blasted John for his comments, saying, “I don’t want people to know how I am in bed!”

Now that the eleventh season of “American Idol” is winding down to a close, there’s another question on everyone’s mind besides whether it’ll be Phillip Phillips or Jessica Sanchez as the winner of the show. People are curious as to whether or not Jennifer Lopez will be sitting at the judge’s table next to Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson for the show’s twelfth season.

Jennifer has already cast doubt on her future with the show, telling Ellen DeGeneres that she’s too busy. Interscope head honcho and “Idol” mentor Jimmy Iovine says that he hopes that Jennifer will be back for another season.

In a press conference earlier today, he said, “She’s incredible, I hope she does it again. I know nothing about this…I just mentor the kids and do my thing. And Jennifer’s wonderful. Funny and beautiful and talented. So I hope they keep her.”

He went on to say, “I am low in the totem pole. I don’t get to make these decisions about the judges.”

If Jennifer doesn’t return for next season, do you think Jimmy would make an adequate replacement as a judge? If not, who do you think they should get to take her spot?

Has teen singer Justin Bieber called it quits with his Disney star girlfriend Selena Gomez? That seems to be the latest Hollywood gossip floating around about the young couple.

Reports hit a fever pitch that the young couple were having trouble within their relationship when Justin put a mysterious message on Twitter. Was it directed at Selena? He has since deleted the message, but it has fans believing that Justin is back on the market once again.

He tweeted, “thank you for the time i had with you but i have to move on now…”

Do you think the message was intended for Selena? The twosome have been dating for a year and a half, but is Justin calling time on their romance? He is about to get super busy with his new album promotion and tour coming up. Does he even have the time to maintain a relationship?

I had no idea that John Mayer was such a fan of “The Bachelor”, but apparently that’s how he’s been spending his free time. During a recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, John revealed that he is absolutely obsessed with the reality show. After a friend nudged him to follow the show and give it a chance, he said that he caved in and began watching as Brad Womack tried to find love.

He said, “I don’t even feel like it’s my fault for liking it. It’s not a guilty pleasure. It’s designed to be a pleasure. It’s like a producer’s game. I wouldn’t be as excited to meet a cast member as I’d be to meet the guy who cuts that show. They have to ask someone like Ben like, ‘Okay, Ben, we need you to walk out on the balcony without a shirt and just think.’”

After doing an impression of Ben Flajnik, Ellen asked his opinion on the last season’s winner, Courtney Robertson. He said, “There was nothing you could say to Ben to not pick Courtney. Girls were coming up to him, like, ‘I watched Courtney rip somebody’s face off.’ And he’d go, ‘I’ll take that under consideration.’”

Ellen asked, “What if they come to you and say, ‘Would you be the Bachelor?’” He responded, “It’s one of those things where I would waste their time taking a meeting, just so I could hear more about it. Ultimately I’d say no. But I would just have to take the meeting.”

John Travolta’s sexual assault drama is featured front and center on the latest issue of the “National Enquirer”. Are there any tabloids that don’t have some kind of spin on this story? Seriously.

The “Enquirer” reports that John has some “twisted double life” that they’ve exposed. According to the tabloid, it’s been thirty years of lies for John and his wife Kelly Preston. The magazine also reports that they have new “shocking” stories from men that John has seduced. Is Kelly so humiliated by the scandal that she has walked out on John?

In addition, the “Enquirer” calls “The Bachelorette” rigged and details how Emily Maynard is being conned. Also featured in this issue is Rihanna’s liver damage drama.

We have already spoiled this week’s theme on “American Idol” for our top three competitors Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet. This week, they will be taking on the “choice” theme, performing three separate songs. One of which will be their own choice, while another will be judge’s choice and thirdly, Jimmy Iovine’s choice. Last week, we saw the exit of Brit Hollie Cavanagh, so the competition is heating up!

Without further ado, we’ve got a breakdown of the sons that the contestants will be covering on tonight’s show. For the song selections tonight, the Idol contestants will be covering John Lennon’s “Imagine”, Mariah Carey’s “My All” and “No More Drama” by Mary J. Blige.

Back in 2009, Poison singer Bret Michaels was hit in the head by a set piece at the Tony Awards after trying to leave the stage. In March of 2011, he announced that he would be suing the Tony Awards and CBS for unspecified damages over the accident.

He received lip and nose injuries, as well as possibly causing the brain hemorrhage that he suffered. Bret claimed in the lawsuit that he had no instruction as to how to safely exit the stage. When he did, he was struck down by the set piece that descended from above. Six months after the show aired, Bret suffered a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage, of which almost cost him his life.

Bret’s attorney revealed, “One of the most common causes of this type of hemorrhage is head trauma – exactly like the one Michaels suffered at the hands of the Tony Awards. Through his sheer will to live, to see his children grow up, he was able to survive this trauma.”

Today we have learned that Bret has settled the case. The “L.A. Times” reports:

An agreement came last week after mediation. The confidential settlement also covers CBS Broadcasting, which aired the show.

The suit, filed in March 2011 in Los Angeles Superior Court, said producers never informed Michaels of the scenery or potential hazards. “Quite the opposite, Michaels specifically asked for instructions regarding how to exit after his performance and was just told to walk off the rear of the stage — in what was ultimately the danger zone,” according to the legal papers.

Michaels’ lawyer Alex Weingarten issued a statement saying that “Mr. Michaels would like to thank his fans for their continued support.”

We’re glad that the incident is far behind him and that he has recovered nicely. Congratulations to him on his settlement.

Three months after iconic singer Whitney Houston passed away, her family is looking to start filming a reality show. It sounds like the Houstons have decided to go the way of the Kardashians, no? Is nothing sacred these days?

We have to imagine that life isn’t easy for Whitney’s family after having lost her to a long-time battle with drug abuse. Her daughter has inherited her estate and now the family is looking to reality television in order to cope. They’ve already worked out a deal with Lifetime TV to broadcast how they are coming together following the songbird’s untimely passing.

The show will be titled “The Houston Family Chronicles” and will feature Bobbi Kristina, Gary, Pat and Cissy Houston. The show will be more centered around Pat and Gary Houston and will show how they care for Bobbi Kristina. The network released a statement saying that the show will follow Pat and Gary as they are “supporting and guiding [Bobbi Kristina] as she faces the world alone…without her mother.”

According to reports, the family was already in the process of considering a reality show, but now that she has passed away, they have retooled the show as more of a tribute to the fallen singer.

Pat said in a statement, “The unexpected passing of Whitney certainly affects the direction of the show. However, it is my hope that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move forward.”

In case you hadn’t heard by now, Lindsay Lohan has been given the greenlight to star in the Lifetime movie “Liz And Dick”. She’s set to portray Elizabeth Taylor in the flick and the Lifetime president says that the two are so alike that it’s “undeniable”. Is it really?

The network’s president Nancy Dubuc said, “I think the parallels between Liz Taylor’s story and Lindsay’s story are undeniable. The creation of the paparazzi really came from the beginnings of the relationship with Liz Taylor and Richard Burton and clearly Lindsay has had to endure her own challenges when it comes to that and the attentions that she garners. I think that this role will be a really interesting journey for her and hopefully one that the audience will embrace wholeheartedly.”

She also spoke about taking out extra insurance to support Lindsay after her legal troubles. She added, “There are logistics around her situation that we had to manage, but we did it in the spirit of trust and a partnership and we did it hand-in-hand. We stood by her every step of the way, and we will all the way to air.”

The flick’s producer Larry Thompson said, “Lindsay Lohan may be the most insured actress that ever walked on a soundstage for this movie. We’ve tried to anticipate a lot of things – we hope none of them happen.”

Rumor has it that Jennifer Aniston is having more trouble with regard to her love life. We’re not going to jump on the “Jennifer is unlucky in love” bandwagon, which we all know is just ridiculous. Recent speculation suggests that Jennifer is considering leaving her boyfriend Justin Theroux for her ex-boyfriend, John Mayer.

To those rumor-mongers, we would have to ask, “Why would Jennifer go backwards?” Seriously. This was a man who arranged their get-togethers and called the paparazzi to inform them so he and Jen would get photographed together as a couple. He arranged a covert mission to put out a decoy for them to get out of the media blitz, even though no one was there to take their picture on that occasion. He also talked about his relationship with Jennifer to the media, so we’re highly doubting that she’s looking to go back to that.

Apparently, John has written a song called “Shadow Days”, in which he sings about his relationship with Jennifer. An insider told “OK!” magazine, “When Jen heard he’d written a song about their breakup, she immediately downloaded it and listened – and the tears were rolling down her face. Jen has a lot of wonderful memories from her days with John, and they all came flooding back.”

Did the tabloids just run out of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston love triangle stories?

Despite never having opened his mouth to battle rumors that he is splitting with his girlfriend, Johnny Depp spoke out for the first time about his long-time relationship with girlfriend Vanessa Paradis. He and Vanessa have been together for 14 years and have two children together. Rumors began circulating after the two were seen separately hitting the red carpet without the other.

Now, in promotion of his new movie Dark Shadows, Johnny is addressing the split rumors. He said, “The rumors are not true. They are absolutely not true.”

He added, “No matter what I say about this, people believe the opposite. I can’t say enough about it not being over. There’s no truth anymore. It doesn’t matter what I say to you right now, it doesn’t make any difference.”

“American Idol” is back tonight with an all new elimination episode of the show. On last night’s performance episode of the show, we saw the top four contestants take on two songs. One of which was a song from an artist or band from California, while the other was an inspirational song with the contestants wished they’d written. Tonight, four will become three as the competition is getting down to the wire. Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet seemed to really wow the judges last night, so we’re going to guess that they’re safe. Phillip Phillips (our favorite) impressed us with both of his covers, so that leaves Hollie Cavanagh. We’re guessing that after all of the dust settles, we will learn that her time on the show has come to an end.

We say that Hollie is in danger, primarily because she doesn’t even seem to be in the same league as the other singers. Stay tuned, however, as we could be faced with a shocking elimination tonight. Having said that, for tonight’s post we have used a photo from one of the best part of last night’s show. Cute, right? They’re up there butchering The Bangles — along with my childhood and Phillip and Joshua are swinging.

“Mad Men” actor Jon Hamm took some time out of his busy schedule to sit down for “Rookie” magazine’s “Ask A Grown Man” feature. He answered relationship questions for teenagers, told one girl that “everybody farts” and whether or not guys get crushes like girls do.

He sat down and tackled five questions from the site’s readers. Check out the video below:

I loved how he ended the video with telling fans that they are too young to watch “Mad Men”, so to enjoy “The Hunger Games.”

“American Idol” is slowly dwindling down the top contestants to the three left standing for the finals. This week, we will see Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Hollie Cavanagh take on songs from a “California Dreamin’” theme. On Thursday night, four will become three as they battle it out for the “Idol” crown. In the end, there can be only two. Who will be left standing?

So what do we know about the season eleven finale of the show? It airs on Fox on Wednesday, May 23rd and will feature a performance from none other than Rihanna. Reportedly, she will be performing “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been”.

When the final three have been announced, they will be taking the “Idol” stage on May 22nd. Afterward, one last contestant will be eliminated, thus leaving the top two to vie for the crown.

Kelly Osbourne has only recently became an aunt to brother Jack’s baby daughter Pearl, but apparently she is almost ready for a child of her own. Kelly appears on Wednesday’s episode of “Anderson” and tells the TV host that she might be ready for her own title of mother.

She revealed, “I’ve got baby fever after I saw her. I’d be the best mum ever. I would. I’ve got great training from my mum.”

She went on to say, “I have to tell you, I never believed in love at first sight. And then I saw how perfect and beautiful this baby was and is, I lost it. I cried more than anyone else. I’m under strict instruction not to spoil her, but I don’t think that’s going to stick.”
