Miley Cyrus appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night and spoke of her years on Hannah Montana and she also performed her new song Wrecking Ball.
She informed the late night talk show host, “I don’t just twerk and lick stuff.”
Cyrus talked to Fallon about her just-released album, Bangerz, and also found time to perform an a cappella version of “We Can’t Stop” with his house band, the Roots.
Her wardrobe, an oversized white shirt with a built-in visible bra and suspenders, was also a topic of conversation. Fallon remarked that when his wardrobe department heard that Cyrus was going to be on the show, their reaction was, “Sweet, a night off!” When Cyrus jokingly complained that she was “catching pneumonia” in Fallon’s cold studio, Fallon fired back, “But you have to wear clothes when you come out here.”
The twerking comment came when Cyrus was discussing her appearance on “Saturday Night Live.”
“That was a good time for me to show people that I don’t just twerk and lick stuff, I can sing and I can act a little bit too,” she said.
When you pull a stunt like what she did at the VMAs, it’s hard to think that she knows anything else. What do you think?

R&B singer Chris Brown has confessed he lost his virginity when he was only eight years old. The rapper, who is now 24-years-old, tells The Guardian he was an early bloomer growing up in rural Virginia.
He revealed, “It’s different in the country. By that point, we were already kind of like hot to trot, you know what I’m saying? Like, girls, we weren’t afraid to talk to them; I wasn’t afraid. So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it. You can be the best at it.”
Chris refused to say how many women he has had sex with, but went on to compare himself to Prince.
He added, “You know how Prince had a lot of girls back in the day? Prince was, like, the guy. I’m just that, today. But most women won’t have any complaints if they’ve been with me. They can’t really complain. It’s all good.”
My husband’s car recently decided to give up the ghost. He had done the unthinkable and bought an Alpha Romeo despite the warnings of friends and family. Being something of a petrolhead he had always wanted one and to his credit he had nursed this one (not without significant cost I might add) through a good few years of life.
Now it was lying, forlorn on our drive way looking very sorry for itself and well it might. It seems that the clutch had gone and would cost over £800 to repair, this on top of several other sizeable jobs that had already been done on it (not to mention other household bills).
When a helpful ex mechanic neighbour offered to have a look at it and started having a poke around it became apparent that we had been absolutely well and truly ‘had’ by an unscrupulous garage. Worse still the work itself had been completed longer than 12 months ago and so was outside of their warranty period.
We knew that we would be hit by a plethora of excuses, claims and counterclaims if we tried to do something about it and so instead we decided to shop around for a garage with more scruples whilst saving up for the required funds. My husband in the meantime commandeered my car which left me doing the school run in the rain. Not a happy bunny, especially when he drove off with the rain cover of the buggy in the boot. Soaked school girl, soaked toddler and soaked mummy … oh and my door keys were also safely tucked into the ignition of my car … fail!
What has this to do with boilers I hear you ask? Well, if you’ve been following my posts you will see that our boiler is also under scrutiny and we have decided to get it replaced. But with my recent experience of tradesmen you will forgive me for being somewhat cynical. What if I get a dodgy boiler, have a dodgy job done or they run over the hill with my cash and abandon me if something goes wrong. Yes of course I am covered by statutory what nots – but who has the time to deal with all that?
So instead I put together my own criteria to be fulfilled and if companies couldn’t measure up, then I wouldn’t engage them.
My criteria included the following
- Did they offer a full money back guarantee if the conditions of the job hadn’t been met or there was a problem?
- Did they have a good trading history, traceable at companies house?
- Were they running government backed ‘money off’ schemes such as the ‘affordable warmth’ scheme that I could take advantage of?
- Did they have other local clients that were willing to act as a reference?
- Were there any super negative or super positive stories about them on-line in places like review centre?
- What is their customer care policy (particularly after care … we all know that sales people are very attentive!)
- How long was their guarantee period (less than 12 months for a new boiler… really? I think not!)
Eventually I found a company that I was happy with that also offered a 24 hour advice line and on-going servicing and maintenance … phew!
My new boiler is due to be fitted soon so fingers crossed everything will work out smoothly. As to the Alpha … I can but hope!
The former King of Pop Michael Jackson’s incarcerated physician Dr. Conrad Murray feels vindicated following the verdict in the pop legend’s wrongful death trial against AEG Live. In fact, he is so adamant that the verdict in the trial absolves him of any wrongdoing.
In case you’ve forgotten, Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in 2011. He gave Michael a lethal, but accidental overdose of Propofol while trying to get the singer to sleep. This caused Michael’s death on June 25, 2009 and he has since been sentenced to four years in jail.
The singer’s family subsequently filed a wrongful death lawsuit demanding compensation from AEG Live for hiring Dr. Murray to treat the Billie Jean singer, but a jury cleared AEG Live head honchos of any wrongdoing on Wednesday and ruled that the doctor was not ‘incompetent’.
In an audio recording released by TMZ, Conrad thanks God for the trial’s outcome and insists it has vindicated him as a doctor. He says in the recording, “I just want to praise you Lord… Today you have vindicated my image… I have never been and never will be an inept physician. This has always been a frivolous and unjust lawsuit. This time there is justice. This time the jury got it right. Thank you Lord.”
That moron probably thinks that the verdict in the AEG case will somehow free him from prison. What do you think?
Miley Cyrus reportedly used to guilt trip her Australian fiance Liam Hemsworth into staying with her! Could you imagine having to sink that low in order to try and keep someone in your life? It’s sad, really.
A new report has revealed that Miley never let Liam forget that she was the one who helped him launch his career and make his name recognized everywhere. The former couple met on the set of their 2009 movie The Last Song and had dated ever since.
A source revealed, “Miley was super manipulative with Liam and she used the movie to trap and guilt him into staying in a relationship with her. She was constantly reminding him that she ‘helped make him a star’ through their movie The Last Song and she’d brag that she ‘introduced him to the world’. That movie was her project and she never hesitated to remind Liam of it. She literally took credit for making him a popular actor.”
One would fathom a guess that he wouldn’t actually be popular in acting if he wasn’t good at it, though, right? The source continued, “But she flipped once Liam checked out of their relationship. He was fed up, especially after the VMAs. No matter how much Miley whined or manipulated him…he was done. Miley watched as her dad Billy Ray Cyrus struggled with being a one-hit wonder and she witnessed firsthand how fleeting fame can be.”
The source added, “So she’s being outrageous and crazy as a desperate attempt to stay relevant. Remember, it was Miley being cast on Hannah Montana that pretty much reintroduced the world to Billy Ray Cyrus.”
Sad, sad, sad!
Rapper Kanye West has hit out at the paparazzi again on Friday morning after clashing with photographers camped outside of his home in Los Angeles.
Kanye was arriving home at around 4AM PST when he was confronted by photographers eager to question him about his feud with Jimmy Kimmel. If you don’t recall, Jimmy poked fun at Kanye on TV earlier this week by spoofing an hour-long interview he recently gave to BBC radio by using children.
Kanye, who had went on a Twitter rant about the comedy sketch on Thursday, was not in the mood to talk to the paparazzi and in video footage obtained by TMZ, he is seen blasting one shutter bug as “a blood sucking mosquito” and “bully”, before lunging towards the camera.
However, West stopped himself before the argument became physical and is now reportedly seeking to press charges over the incident. The rapper is no stranger to run-ins with the paparazzi – as he is currently facing charges of battery and attempted grand theft relating to an altercation in July, when he allegedly tried to grab the camera out of a photographer’s hand and wrestled him to the ground at LAX.
The rapper has fired back at the claims in court, insisting he reacted after fearing “his safety was in immediate danger”. If convicted, Kanye faces a maximum of one year behind bars. We highly doubt that Kanye will get convicted… What do you think?
