Robert Pattinson says that he wants to release an album this year. He said that in order to release an album that he would have to take a break from acting, because he doesn’t want to have a “made by the Twilight vampire sticker on it”.

He said, “I kind of want to do an album at the end of the year. All my friends are recording albums and I’m very annoyed about it. But I can’t do two things at once. I don’t know how people like Jennifer Lopez can act and also sing. I’m just like, ‘I can’t.’ But, hopefully, I’ll find some time to get it together.”

He also previously revealed, “I write songs, that’s true. I’ll record a few tracks as soon as I finish the promotion for the movies, but before I won’t do anything. I don’t want to release an album which has a sticker on it saying, ‘By the vampire of ‘Twilight’,’ on it. If the record is released one day there won’t be my name or my picture on the cover. Everyone would be biased. No one would listen to it.”

Kristen Stewart drew criticism online over her throat clearing at the Oscars. I wasn’t sure why that was such a big deal, but some were offended, I imagine.

Kristen felt the need to defend the cough and even went as far as explaining herself.

She said, “I wouldn’t have been able to finish the sentence had I not gone and cleared my throat. Then I would’ve gotten more criticism for not being able to speak at the Oscars – which is worse than clearing your throat at the Oscars. It’s all good. There are a few things that replay in my head like, oh that happened, why? Why? A lot of it I find funny. The coughing I did find funny. This is going to baffle some people, but I was so proud of myself that night. I didn’t fall down or anything!”

I still don’t see what the big deal was over an “ahem” at the Oscars. PS. I loved her dress!

Billy Corgan was obviously unimpressed with John Mayer’s recent declaration that Jessica Simpson is considered “sexual napalm”. So much, that the singer is taking aim at Mayer for his Playboy comments.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the Smashing Pumpkins singer said, “I think for any person, who has celebrity, to sort of drop rocks at somebody else’s feet like that, there’s things you should really just keep your mouths shut on. There’s things that should just be left alone.”

How long can they keep dragging this out? Oh, that’s right, until her show has made its debut on VH1.

Pop singer Kesha has revealed that she appreciates the transgendered community.

She saidm “I am a huge fan of the transgender community. I am so not a proper, good female. I can’t dance in high heels and I’m just so not girly, but then I see men with these banging bodies, dancing in heels, singing and having so much fun with so much makeup on. That makes me honestly want to be a better woman. It is so fascinating that someone can commit their whole entire lifestyle to being such a fantastic woman when I’m such a bum about it.”

Lady Gaga must want everyone to think that she’s so edgy. So much, that the singer has just revealed that she’s into women.

When asked if she could see herself with a woman, she said, “Of course. There are no rules or limits when it comes to love. But I see love as separate from sex. And I happen to love male sexuality. Men have something I lack, but that I really value.”

She isn’t ready to settle down, however, after admitting that she fears her career would be over. She added, “Love is about danger, always. Love jumps off cliffs, love is irrational. It keeps you alive and it destroys you. The search for love provides nourishment for your artistic soul. I’m afraid that as soon as you really find love, there won’t be anything left to write songs about.”

I don’t care what anyone says, I still love her music.

Evanescence singer Amy Lee has revealed that the band are heading toward a synth-pop direction for their upcoming album. The album, which is a followup to their 2006 album, The Open Door, will see a “non-angry” direction.

Amy said, “It’s going in an electro-pop direction — there are no organic instruments. It’s a Portishead or Massive Attack direction, and lyrically it’s about moving on, but in a very non-confrontational, non-angry way.”

She said that there will also be elements of the turmoil she faced as she enlisted new band members for the album. She said, “There’s a lot of bullsh*t related to that band name for me, but I’m ready to move past it. I’ve realized that Evanescence is who I am. There are moments of, ‘Hey, I’m over it and I’m good’ and others of fun sarcasm like, ‘Hey, everything’s not the most dramatic thing in the world’ on the new record. But it gets really, really, really deep in places, too. That’s probably why it’s been really hard to pick an album title. Lyrically, it’s a more real version of myself. I’m saying things that I would’ve been afraid to say before.”

The upcoming album is slated for a fall 2010 release and is yet to be titled.

Even though Rihanna and Matt Kemp both denied dating the other, she traveled all the way to Arizona to meet his family this weekend. She was originally in Berlin, but on Saturday, she made a special trip just to attend his charity bash, Ante Up For Autism.

An insider said, “Matt was happy she came. It was an awesome show of support. Rihanna fit right in as if they all knew each other. It was comfortable.”

And they are looking so cute together, too.

A source said that she “has definitely got more tummy lately, and she’s certainly acting pregnant. She suddenly cut out alcohol and is taking way better care of herself.”

Ever since the news broke that Josh was cheating on her with a stripper from Atlanta, the couple have reportedly rededicated themselves to their marriage.

A source said, “A baby is their number one priority to making a fresh start. They both want to start a family as quickly as possible.”

Miley Cyrus became a Twitter quitter five months ago after filming a rap about leaving the social networking site. Now, she reveals that she’s been tweeting vicariously through her friend, Emily Osment.

She said, “I’ve been tweeting vicariously through my friend who is on my show, Emily Osment. So I’m like, ‘For all the life that you live on Twitter, I’ll live through you.’ So I’m always like, ‘What are people saying?’”

She added that she got Emily to post a photo of her recently for their fans. She said, “I posted a pictures on there the other day. She took my picture and I said just write ‘Hi from Miley.’ I stood by a thing of hay and said, ‘Hey!’ and that was it.”
