Barbara Walters Considering Retirement In 2014
Veteran newscaster Barbara Walters has been a staple for news, celebrity interviews and journalism for the past 52 years. In 2011, it was rumored that she was planning to announce her retirement. Now, the rumors of her retirement have popped up again. Will she finally take some time for herself? TMZ reports:
A honcho at ABC News told TMZ at the time that Barbara has joked about retiring every year since the Clinton Administration … but now, it seems the legendary newswoman may finally be serious about it.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Walters will make the official announcement in the coming weeks … with her last broadcast taking place in May, 2014.
