Betting on the 2019 MLB Playoffs – Which Teams Will Make the Postseason?

New York Yankees

100 games were won by the New York Yankees and I don’t think anybody would argue that this group got. Their 267 team runs were the most by a squad in one season in MLB history, and they did not lose a single player who was an essential part of their lineup.
They did, however, add DJ LeMahieu and Troy Tulowitzki . Both figure to observe some time platooning in the infield. But even with all the firepower that New York owns, can we get on board?
Yes-800 No+500
We already know about the power supplied by Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, and the two Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar are exciting young talents. But did you understand that Luke Voit smashed 14 homers in 132 ABs for the Yanks, ten of which came in the month of September?
There is no doubt that the Bronx Bombers will evaluate runs to compete. The question is, is their starting pitching hold up?
Adding James Paxton is a huge, huge deal, and resigning J.A. Happ solidifies the center of the spinning.
The good thing is Luis Severino will overlook the first month of this season with inflammation in his rotator cuff, and I’d be cautious he’ll even be back by early May.
I am not counting on much from C.C. Sabathia, Masahiro Tanaka is not reliable, and Domingo German still has to prove he can execute pitches in the Major League level.
I think this group must make the playoffs, and I’d be willing to back them if I had been laying around -500. But coughing $800 to win $100 doesn’t seem like overly enticing to me of a proposal.
