Brad Pitt has revealed that fatherhood has made him more passionate about his life, and as a result, he says that he wants to make movies that will have a lasting impact on his children.
He shares six children with long-time partner, Angelina Jolie, and has said that he wants to create movies that impact his own kids because movies had a big role in his life when he was younger.
In a new interview, he said, “I am more passionate now that I am a father. It has focused my mind on the kind of work I want to do. I think of how movies affected me when I was younger, and how they’ve stayed with me ever since. Now I want to make films the kids can see and that might stay with them. I want to make films they can be proud of.”
He went on to say that his shelf life in his field is coming to an end, but he still has aspirations to play a “grumpy old dude” in a movie, in the future.
He added, “I’m bothered less about whether the films I shoot make money. I just want them to have longevity. We all have a shelf life, and mine is coming – although there are a couple of things I’d still like to do. I am looking forward to playing a foul-mouthed grumpy old dude one day, that’s for sure.”
