“The Hangover” star Bradley Cooper revealed that he has made a change for the positive in his life by leaving drugs and alcohol out of it. He said that things got so crazy one night that he smashed his head open during a wild night out. Now, he has revealed that he hasn’t touched drugs or booze since he turned 29-years-old, which was in 2004.
In a new interview with “The Hollywood Reporter”, Bradley said, “I was at a party, and deliberately bashed my head on the concrete floor, like, ‘Hey, look how tough I am!’ I did it again and I spent the night at St. Vincent’s Hospital with a sock of ice, waiting for them to stitch me up.”
He went on to say, “I don’t drink or do drugs anymore. Being sober helps a great deal. I remember looking at my life, my apartment…and I thought, ‘What’s happening?’ I realized I wasn’t going to live up to my potential, and that scared the hell out of me. I thought, ‘Wow, I’m actually gonna ruin my life. I really gonna ruin it.’”
Thankfully for him that he got smart and decided on a better life’s plan for himself. Kudos to him for staying sober and rising to the success that he’s been enjoying.
