On Thursday, one of Casey Anthony’s attorneys, Charles Greene, said that she would remain silent during her questioning in the defamation case brought against her by Zenaida Gonzalez.
If that name sounds familiar to you, it’s because that’s the name Casey invoked when lying to cops about her daughter being kidnapped by the nanny. Zenaida is suing Casey, after saying that a person of the same name kidnapped her daughter, Caylee.
Casey’s attorney says that she will invoke her fifth amendment rights and remain silent during the questioning in the case. Zenaida’s attorney, John Dill, said that he still wants to conduct the deposition to find which questions she refuses to answer and whether or not those refusals can be challenged.
The deposition is set to last two hours and will be taken by video, as opposed to in person. Casey is currently in Florida, serving out a year’s probation for check fraud. Her location in the Sunshine state is being kept secret.
