Channing Tatum Calls Stripping A Dark World

Channing Tatum stars as the titular role in the new movie “Magic Mike” and describes the world of stripping as “dark.” In the movie, he gets out of the realm of stripping for a career in making furniture after replacing himself in the revue with “The Kid”, played by Alex Pettyfer.

He used to be a stripper in real life when he was younger and says that the movie doesn’t even come close to capturing the troubles of life as a male stripper. In a new interview, he said, “The world in itself was just a very dark world in a way. I don’t think we even scratch the surface of really how dark that place can get and how slippery of a slope it can actually be.”

He went on to say, “This was probably the most palatable version of this movie. Otherwise, you wouldn’t want to see it twice, you’d just be like, ‘Okay, I feel dirty now’. I think we blade-ran that topic.”

Have you seen “Magic Mike” yet? If not, what are you waiting for? It’s really good.
