Charlie Sheen has requested that his child support payments to ex-wife Brooke Mueller be cut off. We’re guessing that will come as a shock to her, don’t you think?
Since they have called time on their marriage and she had custody of their twins, Max and Bob, he has been paying her a whopping $55,000 per month. Well, that’s all about to change as Charlie has petitioned the court to have her child support payments stopped.
She has been busy in rehab battling her addiction issues and Charlie finds it ridiculous that he should have to continue paying that high amount. She doesn’t even have custody of the twins, that has gone to his other ex-wife Denise Richards, temporarily.
Charlie has filed the legal documents this week asking the judge to cancel the child support obligation. He thinks that she is using the cash in order to pay for her rehab treatment. It’s unlikely that she’s going to get the twins back anytime soon as she would have to face a rigorous schedule to adhere to regain custody. A source said that the Department of Children & Family Services “has prepared a laundry list of things Brook must do before the agency can sign off on her retaining custody of the twins.”
The source continued, “After Brooke is formally discharged from her rehab facility, she must immediately give her contact information to a drug testing company. She can expect to be randomly drug tested at least twice a week. If she fails to appear for the drug test, it will be considered a dirty test. She will need to enroll in parenting classes, and successfully complete and provide proof that she is going to 12-step meetings at least once a week. Her visitation with the twins will be strictly monitored by a social worker. In short, Brooke will have to jump through hoops to get the boys back.”
