Charlie Sheen’s new show on FX, “Anger Management” premieres this Thursday and in order to promote it, he appeared this morning on “Good Morning America”. In the interview, he discusses his former job on “Two And A Half Men”, rehab and being a father.
Charlie revealed that he isn’t doing drugs any longer and that he didn’t need to go to rehab to kick the habit. When asked if he still consumes alcohol, Charlie said, “Who doesn’t? We live in a country where it’s always Miller Time. It’s always happy hour somewhere in the world!”
He was then asked if drinking was a good approach, considering the fact that he’s done the whole rehab thing before. To that he said, “I don’t believe in rehab anymore, it’s not for me.” He went on to call rehab not a “one size fits all” cure for drug abuse.
He talked about his meltdown after being fired from “Two And A Half Men”, saying, “My biggest regret is going a little too far. I was vocal about people I shouldn’t have been so vocal about. I’m grateful we’re able to sit here and talk about it. It is odd to look at the clips and some of the stuff and say, ‘That was me.'”
He also discussed his family, saying, “I can’t really talk about the custody stuff, I don’t really like to talk about that. At the end of the day that’s the job that matters the most – the job of father.”
