Chris Pratt Talks Anna Faris Marriage

Celebrity spouses Chris Pratt and Anna Faris grew up within minutes of each other, but it took them both moving to Los Angeles to launch their careers before they finally met and fell in love.

Pratt and Faris both grew up in Washington state just twenty minutes apart, Pratt said Friday in a Reddit AMA session promoting his latest venture, Jurassic World.

The similarities don’t end there, as both of them got their first breaks in horror spoofs and both have done an animated movie for directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. She starred in Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, and he was was featured in The Lego Movie. Each of them is known for playing guileless nitwits to get laughs, Pratt said. Each of them also has a parent with multiple sclerosis.

“Anna and I are meant to be together. Our relationship has made me believe in divine intervention and destiny, just as much as my crazy career and the way I fell into this life,” Pratt said, adding, “Anna is a great wife. Very patient and understanding. Very supportive. So kind and genuine always. And she gave me a wonderful son and family of in-laws that I truly love.”

Pratt was responding to an an online question from a fan who asked, “My questions for you are what drew you two together? Is there some cute story in which you guys fell in love? Is Anna a great wife/mom?”

The couple finally met in 2007 on the set of Take Me Home Tonight. They married in 2009, and their son, Jack, was born in August 2012.

Pratt’s credits include Guardians of the Galaxy, and Jurassic World is due out this year. He recently began filming the remake of a western, The Magnificent Seven along with Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. Faris also has appeared in Scary Movie 2 and Lost in Translation.
