Constantine Tzortzis Tells Why He Left 'The Bachelorette'

In case you’ve been keeping up with Ashley Hebert’s quest to find true love on The Bachelorette, then we’ve got some scoop for you! (Read CelebDirtyLaundry’s official Bachelorette recap here to get caught up!)

Spoiler alert! In case you haven’t watched yet!

Constantine Tzortzis left the show last night after claiming it was for religious reasons. Now we’re down to two guys competing for Ashley’s affections — and ultimately, her hand in marriage!

They were gearing up for the overnight dates in Fiji, but Constantine wasn’t feeling the connection. He said, “Things come naturally to me in releationships: Being a loving person, doing thoughtful things for somebody…those are things that I do instinctively. I haven’t been able to do that.”

He went on to reveal, “I’d want ideally for me to be madly head over heels. One hundred percent sure and ready to meet your father and say, ‘I want to ask for your daughter’s hand in marriage.’ I have too much respect for you, for myself, for my family and ultimately your family also, to do anything but that. I know what the fantasy suite means and implies. I knew if I got to this point and I wasn’t in love with you, I wouldn’t accept the fantasy suite. I haven’t pretended and I don’t want to start now. I don’t want to make it any harder than it has to be. I don’t think I can look back at one point and say I wasn’t ready to find love. I was. Had it been there.”

Ashley responded, “I thought we were taking steps forward.” Afterward, she commented, “I’m shocked he didn’t at least give it the time to see if there was anything there.”
