Much like a lot of you, Dan Stevens will be watching the highly anticipated fourth season of the hit show Downton Abbey. If that name doesn’t ring a bell by itself, he played Matthew Crawley, Lady Mary’s cousin and husband. At the end of the third season, Matthew tragically passed away after a car accident while his wife and child were still in the hospital.
Dan said in a new interview that he doesn’t know how the fourth season of the show will play out for Lady Mary, but he will be tuning in to find out!
He said to The Hollywood Reporter, “I want to watch it with the American audience…I have absolutely no idea what becomes of Mary because I want to watch it with the American audience — it will be fun. After all, I live in Brooklyn now.”
After the show finished filming its third season when he was written out, Dan said, “It’s nice that people care, I suppose, about the show, but yeah, you know…I had to do what I had to do.”
