Dancing With The Stars Season 13 Episode 4 Live Performance Recap 10/10/11

On previous elimination episodes of Dancing With The Stars, we’ve seen the departures of Ron Artest AKA Metta World Peace, along with Elisabetta Canalis and Kristin Cavallari. So, who’s going home on tomorrow night’s show? It’s anyone’s guess. We’ll be recapping the show live!

Movie Score Week:

Chynna Phillips & Tony Dovolani – Mission Impossible Theme – Tango
Comments: Interesting entrance for Tony, the dance started off alright. She appeared to have lost her footing a bit. She looks nervous.
Judge’s Comments: Len: He thought they got the character right, but it went wrong and she panicked. He said there was a lot of mistakes. Bruno: She lost the plot. She wanted it so badly, but she lost the plot. Carrie Ann: She lost her place, but didn’t lose her composure.
Scores: 7+7+7 = Total: 21/30

David Arquette & Kym Johnson – Raiders Of The Lost Ark – Paso Doble
Comments: Interesting dance, as always. Pretty good. We think David will be around next week. Sharp lines and well executed.
Judge’s Comments: Bruno: He loved the way he cracked his whip. He advised him to watch his turns. Carrie Ann: David saved the day. This week there is an incredible amount of bravado. Len: He liked the entry and his attitude, but afterward, it was the Temple of Doom. He didn’t see the posture or the tight buttocks.
Scores: 8+7+8 = Total: 23/30

Carson Kressley & Anna Trebunskaya – The Curse Of The Black Pearl – Viennese Waltz
Comments: The dance seemed weird and a tad discombobulated. Cute, though.
Judge’s Comments: Carrie Ann: It was weirder than the ride. She had a great time, but cringed at his technique. Len: Like childbirth, terrible when it’s happening and wonderful when it’s over. Bruno: The swordfight turned into a catfight and he lost his steps.
Scores: 7+6+7 = Total: 20/30

Nancy Grace & Tristan MacManus – Flash Gordon – Paso Doble
Comments: This dance is more about Tristan than Nancy. He’s great and he dropped her at the end.
Judge’s Comments: Len: It’s not exciting and it lacked expression. Bruno: She’s got to become a ball breaker out there. Carrie Ann: Give Nancy a little more credit. Really solid technique, but she needs to connect more with the audience.
Scores: 7+7+7 = Total: 21/30

Hope Solo & Maksim Chmerkovskiy – Toy Story – Foxtrot
Comments: Cute dance and playful. They have good chemistry together. Very nice.
Judge’s Comments: Bruno: They made sweet music. Carrie Ann: Made her smile the whole way through. It was refreshing to see them out there having fun. Len: He’s frustrated and said she could go all the way in this competition. She’s not rehearsing enough.
Scores: 8+8+8 = 24/30

Rob Kardashian – Superman – Paso Doble
Comments: It’s a little slow and boring. I’m not seeing the aggression in this dance at all.
Judge’s Comments: Carrie Ann: She likes the way he moves. He’s steady and strong. Len: He said he was walking as if he was a waiter. He liked it. Bruno: Rob has musicality and he liked the dance.
Scores: 8+8+8 = Total: 24/30

Ricki Lake & Derek Hough – Psycho – Tango
Comments: Very well choreographed dance. Loved the intro. Her dress is perfect, I must have it. Nicely done.
Judge’s comments: Len: She always delivers. He said she’ll be at the top of the leaderboard. Bruno: It was a blockbuster performance, an immaculate tribute to the master of suspense. Carrie Ann: Brilliance in the ballroom.
Scores: 10+9+10 = Total: 29/30

Chaz Bono & Lacey Schwimmer – Rocky – Paso Doble
Comments: This dance is completely awful and horrible. Why is Chaz still in the competition? He looks comical in this. Oh, there’s Cher and those lips!?!
Judge’s Comments: Bruno: No matter how many knocks he takes, he keeps coming back and getting stronger. Carrie Ann: He makes her root for him. He has true courage. Len: He’s getting stronger, but it wasn’t a knockout performance. But, it was his best performance to date.
Scores: 7+7+7 = Total: 21/30

J.R. Martinez & Karina Smirnoff – The Pink Panther – Foxtrot
Comments: Well choreographed dance, super cute and nicely executed.
Judge’s Comments: The technique was there, but this performance was flat. The humor didn’t make it. Len: This was the best male dance of the night. Just enough humor and he enjoyed it. Bruno: He liked the dance and thought it was great.
Scores: 8+9+9 = Total: 26/30
