On last week’s Dancing With The Stars, we saw the exit of television actor Carson Kressley from the show. It’s Broadway week this week, so it’s anyone’s guess as to who will be eliminated tomorrow night!
Stay tuned, we’re covering the show live!
Rob Kardashian & Cheryl Burke – Cha Cha Cha
Comments: Rob is a little slow in this dance and seems unsure and nervous. Kim is there. Barf.
Judge’s Comments: Len said it was clean and precise and had good timing. He said that the Cha Cha Cha has got to show rhythm and there was no rhythm. It was stiff and starchy.
Bruno said he has to take it full on from the first bar. He said Rob had to be in charge and it didn’t have the impact and power at this stage.
Carrie Ann said it wasn’t as great as last week’s dance, but she saw more charisma than ever before. She said he’s still an adolescent, but not a kid.
Scores: 8-7-7 = Total: 22/30
Nancy Grace & Tristan MacManus – Foxtrot
Comments: As always, it seems that Tristan is really leading this dance and Nancy is following along. She looks like a happy Camelot clown.
Judge’s Comments: Bruno said she captured the feel of the musical. Carrie Ann said she upped the ante and nailed it. She called it a showstopper and it was very, very good. Len said he has said more flair and they gave him that. However, the Foxtrot has a certain amount of hold and her posture wasn’t there.
Scores: 9-7-8 = Total: 24/30
David Arquette & Kym Johnson – Quickstep
Comments: This is a really cute dance, happy and well choreographed. It was great and they looked like they were having a blast.
Judge’s Comments: Carrie Ann said he lived up to their expectations. She said that they were out of sync today and their posture was fantastic. Len said it was what it was, rough around the edges, but high energy. It was fun. Bruno said he has the exuberance and charm of a teenager on Spring Break. He said that the energy was right up there.
Scores: 8-7-8 = 23/30
Ricki Lake & Derek Hough – Quickstep
Comments: It was a very well thought out dance and was well executed, as usual. They set the bar for tonight, in our opinion. It was great.
Judge’s Comments: Len said she doesn’t need luck if she has talent. He said her head should stay to the left and he loved it and thought it was fantastic. Bruno said it was impeccable style and outstanding choreography. It fit like a glove to one of the greatest American musicals. Carrie Ann said it was precise, sharp and sophisticated. She loved it!
Scores: 10-9-10 = Total: 29/30
Chaz Bono & Lacey Schwimmer – Tango
Comments: It seems rather uninspired this week. She’s leading him around like a robot.
Judge’s Comments: Bruno said it was like watching a cute little penguin trying to be a menacing bird of prey. Carrie Ann said in this dance it was the most aggressive she’s seen him, but she wants to see more confidence. Len said the first rule is to get through the routine and you can see the work he put in. He said the holds should be tighter. It was a good job, but it didn’t suit his personality.
Scores: 7-6-6 = Total: 19/30
Hope Solo & Maksim Chmerkovski – Rumba
Comments: The dance is slow and sensual, and well rehearsed.
Judge’s Comments: Carrie Ann said she needs to trust her natural sexiness. She said it goes against her natural feistiness, and it was blossoming and then it wasn’t. Len said he never lost faith in her and there’s so much there. He said it was her worst dance of the whole season. He’s really disappointed. Maks said that everybody is putting a lot of effort into their dances and he’s protecting his partner. Bruno said it was a difficult song and she tried to tell a story.
Scores: 7-6-7 = Total: 20/30
J.R. Martinez & Karina Smirnoff – Quickstep
Comments: As always, J.R. delivers the goods! What a fun and snazzy Quickstep. They look like a professional dance couple and it’s the best dance of the night! Very nice!
Judge’s Comments: Len said he came up a notch and came close to beating Helio. Bruno said it’s a hit! Carrie Ann said she gives them a Tony and Ricki should watch out!
Scores: 10-9-10 = Total: 29/30
For the group dance, they’ve all jointed together on the dance floor to dance to Big Spender. Good dance. Who was your favorite tonight?
