Dorothy Hamill Withdraws From 'Dancing With The Stars'

After getting paired up with Nancy Grace and Gladys Knight in previous seasons, Tristan MacManus graced the ballroom floor with Dorothy Hamill on this season of “Dancing With The Stars”. Unfortunately, his time on the show was limited this season and for that, we must complain.

You would think after having to put up with Nancy Grace that the show would have cut Tristan some slack on his season spent with Gladys Knight, but alas, that was not the case. On last Monday night’s premiere episode, Tristan and Dorothy performed a Contemporary dance. This Monday, they followed that up with a Jive. Both were really good dances, earning them a total of 36 points for both weeks.

It was a shame that Dorothy has announced that she can’t go any further in the competition. She said, “I’ve taken the advice from my spine surgeon and I need to withdraw from the competition. It could be irreparable nerve damage and it would be completely unfair for me to stay in this and have any of these people go home. It’s not that I don’t want to be here. I wish I could give it my all, but I can’t!”

What did you think of Dorothy Hamill removing herself from the competition? Was she going to be sent home anyways? Hit the comments and let us know your thoughts! And surely the show can bring back the Flawless Irish Prince in some other capacity, no?
