Dr. Conrad Murray Gave Michael Jackson Propofol After His Breathing Stopped

Dr. Conrad Murray’s manslaughter case doesn’t seem to be going well for him. Yesterday, the Prosecution talked to Propofol expert, Dr. Steven Shafer, who told the court that the doctor continued to administer Propofol to Michael Jackson, even after his breathing stopped.

According to Dr. Shafer, Michael was still receiving an infusion of Propofol, even after his heart stopped beating.

On Thursday, he testified that Michael “died – but he’s died with the infusion running.”

He also testified that the late singer couldn’t have ingested the drug orally in order to sleep. He advised the court that he did a test on six people, who drank Propofol and were unaffected by it. He said that when taken orally, Propofol is metabolized by the liver before it reaches the blood, therefore it must be injected to receive the anesthetic effect.

Stay tuned as more details are revealed when the Defense begins its case.
