Ellen Page Becomes Victim Of Twitter Death Threats

Twenty-five year old actress Ellen Page has become the victim of a crazed person who has been using Twitter to send her death threats. As a result, we’ve learned that she has turned to the Los Angeles Police Department for assistance with the threats.

The LAPD has already sent Twitter a search warrant demanding information on two accounts on the social networking service which are believed to be from the person making these threats. The crazed fan is said to be bent on murdering Ellen. TMZ reports:

According to the warrant, the two accounts sent Ellen multiple threatening messages back in June — such as, “I’m going to murder Ellen Page. She’s dead.”

And, “Ellen Page if you continue to date Alexander [Skarsgard] I will K-1-L-L you in public in the next year … Be it in a club, at a game, in a restaurant, or when you’re signing autographs.”

Since the threats have been brought to light, the messages have been removed. The LAPD also revealed that the company that organizes the L.A. Film Festival where Ellen’s latest movie premiered has also received a strange telephone call. Reportedly the caller said that they were going to the festival in order to kill the actress.

The last we’ve heard, Ellen wasn’t actually dating Alexander Skarsgard. They were seen at an L.A. Kings hockey game together in June, but as far as we know, they are only appearing in “The East” — in a working capacity.

Still, we hope that Ellen can overcome the craziness and stay safe. We can only hope that the LAPD is successful in locating the person or persons responsible for these needless threats.
