Gavin DeGraw Discusses Dancing With The Stars Elimination

Gavin DeGraw gave his last dance on last night’s episode of Dancing With The Stars and he was a total gentleman about his elimination. After the viewers voted him into the bottom two alongside Jaleel White, he performed the Dance Duel Cha Cha, sharing the stage with the Family Matters actor. In the end, the judges all voted to save Jaleel. In case you’ve missed the show, you can read our full recap here.

After the elimination, Gavin said, “I’ll miss the whole pressure element of this show. I don’t necessarily enjoy the pressure all the time but pressure is good.”

He commented that he wasn’t expecting to win the coveted Mirror Ball trophy, but said that his professional dance partner did give him a little something. He revealed, “I got Karina’s phone number finally! It took a while!”

The singer added, “Dancing With The Stars was like summer camp: We made a lot of great friends and it was a great experience. You don’t have to win a trophy to learn how to dance, so this is about stepping out, learning something new — it’s not about winning or losing all the time.”

He gave it a good run and in the end, he’s a good guy. Do you think he’s going to try to pursue a relationship with Karina Smirnoff?
