Glee Remembers Cory Monteith In Tribute Episode

Glee’s cast gave a super emotional tribute to late actor Cory Monteith on last night’s episode of the hit show. The cast and crew said goodbye to Cory’s character Finn Hudson in the tribute episode which aired on Thursday.

The tribute episode opened with the cast singing the song Seasons Of Love before the characters were asked by their teacher Mr. Shue to perform tracks that remind them of Finn. The show’s creator Ryan Murphy chose not to reveal how Hudson had died and instead picked up the storyline three weeks after the quarterback’s funeral. What a fitting way to remember his character!

Former Glee actors Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Harry Shum, Jr. returned for the tribute episode, but Cory’s on-and-off-screen girlfriend Lea Michele didn’t appear until the last fifteen minutes of the episode to sing an emotional rendition of Bob Dylan’s song Make You Feel My Love.

Following the broadcast, Kevin McHale tweeted, “Tonights Glee was made out of a lot of love & a lot of tears by our incredible crew, cast & creators for our friend Cory. We miss you Cory”, and Shum, Jr. added, “Forever in our hearts. #finnhudson.”

Corey was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room in July after mixing heroin and alcohol. What did you think of the tribute episode to Cory’s character? Fitting? Well done? Did you cry your eyes out?
