Activision has just released the official band listing for Guitar Hero 5 and it’s good!


Among the coolest of bands on the list are Megadeth, Nirvana, Billy Squier, Iron Maiden, and Rammstein.

    I don’t see myself buying this. After being disappointed with World Tour and GH: Metallica, this list doesn’t look very promising. I kind of wish they would make some based entirely on one genre instead of mixing it up so much. Perhaps a Guitar Hero 5 in a few different versions. Maybe that’s why I really liked the first three and Rock the 80’s, because they were mostly metal and hard rock. Maybe I’m just over the GH craze, I don’t know.

    You have a point, Scott. I think I’d be more excited if they were doing a 90’s GH or just a plain Nirvana game. I think Activision is trying to shove Kings Of Leon and The Killers down our throats. Yech.

    Wow if you are disappointed with this lineup then you are also disappointed with every GH ever made. many of these bands are classic and the fact that Activision is throwing a curve ball with Public Enemy and Gorillaz just shows they are not limiting themselves to one genre. You can pout about how disappointed the line up is, I’ll be in my living room jamming my brains out for months to this list. Damn Pesimists
