Gwyneth Paltrow Approves Of Chris Martin's Girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence

Despite the many rumors making the rounds suggesting that Gwyneth Paltrow caused Jennifer Lawrence’s breakup with Coldplay front man Chris Martin – Paltrow says that she has no problem with Chris’ girlfriend whatsoever.

In a new interview, Paltrow said that despite what we may have heard, she doesn’t have an issue with Jennifer Lawrence. It was rumored that Martin sought a relationship with Lawrence, but Paltrow had placed so many restrictions on Martin with regard to their children that Lawrence had to walk away in order to save face. Now, Paltrow is stepping forward to say that if Martin is dating Lawrence, then she must be a great person.

During her appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show, Paltrow was asked about their relationship. She said in response, “Who says I don’t approve [of Jennifer Lawrence]? Why not? Why is it going to be an issue? I respect him as the father of my children. It’s his life and it’s his decision…and I do think that he loves the kids so much and I don’t think that he wouldn’t be with someone who isn’t great. And if I’m wrong, I’ll come back here and tell you.”

Paltrow has said that she regrets the terminology used when she and Martin split up last March. She referred to their impending divorce as “consciously uncoupling” and it has become its own meme. Of that, she added, “I made a mistake in that I didn’t give it context. Like, I didn’t say, ‘This is….a philosophy.’ But it’s a very noble idea, and it’s a great thing, I think, to try to do for your kids. And it’s working, but it is kind of a goofy term and I didn’t know it was going to cause such a big thing.”
