Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin: How It All Fell Apart

Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow is featured on the cover of the latest issue of “People” magazine. Inside this issue, the magazine takes fans on an in-depth look at how Gwyneth’s marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin fell apart.

The former couple tied the knot in December 2003 and have two children together, Apple and Moses. In March 2014, she took to her official website GOOP to announce the news that they were “consciously uncoupling.”

The magazine reports that there were years of tension, insecurities and cheating rumors that played into their high profile split. In addition, the magazine gives their readers the scoop on what exactly “conscious uncoupling” means. The former couple have apparently already worked out a deal to co-parent their two children together. Lastly, their $150 million-plus fortune is at stake. Did they have a prenuptial agreement? Will this get ugly? Somehow we doubt that their divorce will get anywhere near ugly. We can just picture Gwyneth saying that ugly divorces are for peasants who can’t afford to redo their entire closets for a season for the paltry sum of only $20,000.

The magazine reports that a source revealed to them that Gwyneth and Chris sometimes had an “open” relationship.”

A source close to Gwyneth said, “They were physically separated and emotionally. They have been on and off for many years. The marriage was falling apart.”

Another source said that “they seemed to have a pretty mature handle on that crazy rotation of being superstars and parents. But that balance, given the time they had to spend apart, clearly couldn’t sustain itself.”
