Hannibal Recap For May 23, 2013: Trou Normand

Tonight on NBC an all new episode of HANNIBAL airs called, “Trou Normand”. This new series that is written by Thomas Harris continues to deliver. On last week’s episode called “Fromage” had Lecter’s patient Fraklin worried that his friend Tobias was a psychopath, in the end Lecter kills both of them and lies about what happened. Meanwhile, Graham’s mental stability deteriorated even further and he began seeing animals suffering in pain when his feelings toward Alana are rejected. Lecter confides in his doctor that he thinks Graham is a true friend.

Hannibal is a solid offering that keeps viewers guessing and tensions simmering from week to week. If you have been watching, I am sure like me, the episodes stay with you for days. We haven’t heard anything about an announcement for season 2 yet and NBC has excluded Hannibal from it’s upfront announcements, although showrunner Brian Fuller has said that he has seven seasons worth of Hannibal material and that a decision should be coming soon. We’ll keep you posted.

On tonight’s episode called “Trou Normand”, a serial killer leaves his trophy on the beach, it is a totem pole of dead bodies. The BAU team is on this killer’s trail that first digs up his victims. Nick Boyle’s body is found and Abigail gets questioned about it. Meanwhile, Lecter convinces Will to keep some secrets. Abigail reveals her biggest secret to Lecter while penning a book with Freddy Lounds.
